Reviews of Callen-Lorde Community Pharmacy
"CONSISTENTLY having issues either picking up or delivering prescriptions. Every month and if it's around the holidays, just know that you're going without for a few days, so let's hope it's nothing important."
"Best pharmacy. Low cost price for patients without insurance and provide free home delivery. Two thumbs up"
"Getting my prescription is easy. Most times they will waive the fee associated with my PreP. Friendly techs. Been going here for about 5 years."
"This pharmacy has an issue every time I use them. Picking up my prescriptions here is the most stressful part of my month which is sad. On the phone or in person, each interactions takes a MINIMUM of 30-45 minutes. I ROUTINELY wait in person 3-4 HOURS when I pick them up. They have a very inefficient system of getting the prescriptions ready and often will not have them ready when I arrive even when I request them online or on the phone. You have to wait in two long queues, the first queue you wait and the pharm tech sends each script to the insurance. Then u wait for them to actually fill it. Then they call your name and you enter a second queue to actually get your scripts. This line is very often 30 minutes long with 5-6 people on line. If there is any issue (which there always is) u have to do the whole process again. If you complain they laugh in your face. I have asked to speak to the pharmacist to complain multiple times and been told they weren’t available to speak to me. If I have questions about my medicines I’m SOL. They have on their website that they close at 345 on Saturday but they lock the doors at 3pm and wouldn’t let me in. If I complain they purposely take longer on the scripts. I have been $2 short before and they refused to let me pick up the prescription or speak to whom ever was in charge when I asked. They told me to step out of line so they could help the next person. If they accidentally forget to fill one, they make you wait in both lines again each time. It’s awful. If I could give it zero stars I would. The only reason I go here is bc it’s where my doctors are and they give me my HIV meds on a sliding scale, so I am trapped with them. I take 9 different medicines and this pharmacy wont coordinate them so I only have to come in once a month. I have to deal with their nonsense and incompetence two or three times a month. Go somewhere else if u have complex prescriptions if u value ur time or sanity."
"The staff is new, helpful and sweet but there hasn't been one time where i didn't have to call the pharmacy over and over again to get the SCRIPT send to a doctor. They've messed up my meds/T so many time I've had to go weeks without them and it has completely derailed my transition. If your on hormones or take medication you seriously need i'd say go to a real pharmacy. Great idea for lgbtqia but no planning. (Also they changed the automated phone tree so if they are busy you are F@$KED!)"
