"After over 2 hours of hold time on the phone (in addition to being auto-hung up on several times) I am told that they deleted my prescription and the “system does that sometimes.” The pharmacist, Sharon, was short and rude and seemed to have no regard for my issue. They closed the DR on 63rd, and others aren’t open on the weekends, so they’re likely overworked and busy, however deleting a prescription and telling me the only solution is to get in touch with my doctor to call it in again is unacceptable. Should have listened to the other reviews—hoping for better luck at CVS."

"Someone needs to evaluate the license for the Duane Reade Pharmacy at Store #14486 (West 72nd and Broadway). This store is dangerously unreachable, inaccurate and inconsistent. I live in a naturally occurring retirement building, so I am often helping my elderly neighbors deal with this Duane Reade Pharmacy. They deliver incomplete prescriptions, they never answer the phone (you can be on hold for 2 hours and no one picks up), and their hours are inconsistent from the posted pharmacy hours. To help my senior neighbors I often wait on the very long pharmacy line to pick-up their missing prescriptions. I've done this enough times to instruct the employee to dig through the PILES of prescriptions scattered all over the floor. Seniors and sick people need to be able to reach the pharmacy by phone. They can't drag themselves to the long line, and they can't order from other pharmacy's when the prescription was already "filled" by this Duane Reade. This Duane Reade Pharmacy (Store #14486) needs an evaluation. Someone needs to force them to improve or to close either way the patient wins. This is a dangerous place to get a prescription. Don't go here."
