"Was a customer here for 9 years. I feel strongly that solid local businesses are the backbone of Inwood, especially when the chain drugstores are so nasty up here. We continued to go there even after two instances of a controlled substance being short of the correct number of pills and the lame selection of OTC products. Then came the day he said to never send him another prescription. Why? Pharmacists have wide latitude to decline prescriptions. This one will hide behind alleged NYS pharmacy code to decline filling legit scripts that don't mesh with his narrow view of the world. He'd been filling the same medication for years, but then one came in from the new woman doctor in the practice. Suddenly he had all sorts of objections about the credibility of the order and the credentials of the doctor. It was clear what was going on. Good riddance. If he hadn't fired me as a customer, I wouldn't have gone back again anyway after that. Apparently business is good enough to turn customers away."
"A small business with a community feel and AMAZING ice cream. I wanted to keep this place a secret, but I can’t anymore. I paid $2.50 for a generous scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. $2.50! Plenty of flavors and toppings to choose from along with a seating area. I know it’s a pharmacy, but who says you can’t get a treat while you’re running errands."
