"Went in for a filling, they instead do cleaning, x-ray and exam. They said I had a gum bacterial infection and needed injection costing $400 not covered by insurance on the spot. They later sent me an estimate for cavity fillings that they say are crowns. When I got a second opinion and that I just needed fillings, not their expensive procedure, and what was covered by insurance, secretary said they only do what the dentist recommends, not what I want and I should go some place else - and that's precisely what I did."

"Bela Levingart and the staff are a SCAM, CRUEL and UNETHICAL, PEOPLE. DO NOT GO THERE! I had the worst terrifying experience with any dentist ever in my entire life. BY far the worst experience with any practice ever. A month ago I went to see her for first time to fix my tooth because a previous dentist had broken a small piece from a wisdom tooth extraction (tooth #31). Initially, Levingart told me that my tooth needs partial crown and root canal. I returned after 2 weeks and I am told to pay $200 for crown lengthening and I also had to agree to pay an additional $350 for a porcelain crown. Then she tells me I have other cavities, another cavity next to tooth #31, which I was very shocked to hear as I was lying on the chair and I told her to fix the broken tooth first. She could not even numb me!!! She gave me at LEAST 10 INJECTIONS OF LOCALIZED ANESTHESIA (I've had work done on my teeth multiple times before, including crowns, root canals, surgery, fillings and never, NEVER was I in worse pain) and this excruciating pain lasted throughout the entire procedure. She then has the never to say "I am surprised the tooth did not hurt because this tooth NEEDS a root canal and a FULL crown. I had to yell from the top of my lungs from the pain and then she has the audacity to tell me " I can give you laughing gas". I denied her absurd, unprofessional request as I was hyperventilating and in tears and she never bothered to ask how I was doing. At the end of it all, she did not even get to do the root canal and refers me to another root canal specialist WITHOUT ANY TEMPORARY FILLING ( at this point she had thinned the tooth for a crown with a HUGE cavity) and the office manager Inna hands me the bill for the crown and I mentioned that I don't care about the money and that I needed to take care of my root canal first. She said "well, we care about money"!!!! I do not understand how anyone working in customer service, or who calls themselves a manager would reply in such manner. I rushed to my trusted dentist and she told me that this tooth DOES NOT need ROOT CANAL!!! and there were NO CAVITIES on any of my other teeth!!! NONE!! The saddest part of all this is that Bela Levingart calls herself a dentist and today this practice still somehow has it's doors open. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!! Please go read the MOST RECENT reviews on YELP and the few on GOOGLE."

"SCAM! This was truly a shocking experience. I went in for a simple dental cleaning and was coaxed into getting updated X-rays. Upon review, I was told I had 7 cavities that needed to be addressed ASAP. Having NEVER HAD a cavity before, I almost believed them... I returned to a former dentist who let me know I have NO cavities. Zero. Central Park Dentists is an unethical practice that LIES and would have drilled my perfectly healthy teeth. DO NOT GO HERE!"

"I am compelled to say that Dr. Bela and Dr. Gary Levingart are dentists operating near Lincoln Center on the incompetent side. Some of the procedures they did in my mouth were poorly done. In addition, they have ripped me off several times by claiming that the insurance does not cover the procedure when in fact it does. They always demand cash payments. They are extremely unethical and incompetent. I have witnessed other patients complained about this issue while in the waiting room. The secretary portrays herself as friendly but is constantly speaking Russian with the dentists and being very sneaky. I would stay far away from this dental office."
