"As a tenured Biohacker and wellness podcast Host, the research I do on Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, NDs, RDs, and clinicians of all sorts barely scrapes the surface when I use the word 'thorough.' I spent HOURS upon HOURS researching a local holistic and biological Dentist in NYC. (I almost felt compelled to fly to another state to see my favorite dentist, but as this was an emergency, I decided to stay local). A crown of mine had completely disintegrated and fallen off and I refused to see any run-of-the-mill [commercial] dentist and spent hours researching holistic dentists who are HDA certified (Holistic Dental Association), IAOMT certified (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology), IABDM certified (International Academy for Biological Dentistry and Medicine) and SMART certified. Although Dr. Verma doesn't have all these qualifications, she is highly qualified and her bedside manner is honestly the best I've experienced in all my life (and I've been going to the dentist for decades!!). She is also a former Yoga Instructor and her attention to detail is bar none. Honestly. She asked thoughtful questions, asked about my preferences and pain levels, and took such great care of me. I felt like I had known her for years! She and I discussed the importance of biological dentistry and she told me a fascinating story about removing a woman's mercury fillings: the woman stopped experiencing chronic pain. I loved chatting with Dr. Verma so much! Her insight and wisdom are a rare find. What really impressed me was the knowledge on their website (although I'm not a fan of the stock photos and recommend they use REAL photos and pictures of happy patients). For instance, there's an article recommending why root canals are not the ONLY answer, as well as using clove oil to treat mouth pain. They also offer ozone which I'm a big fan of. The only two things missing from their office: vitamin-C IV drips as well as TENS device. The technology they use is cutting edge, the assistants and hygienists are very polite, and although the office is dated, the quality of service and kindness will put you at ease. If you're concerned about visiting a new dentist or have a dental emergency, rest assured in the care you will find at Holistic Dentsits with Dr. Shweta Verma. I cannot recommend her enough!"
