"I am a returning patient who has undergone teeth filling and wisdom teeth removal performed by Dr. Song and Dr. Wang, both of whom were amazing. I've also had teeth cleaning at least twice at 209 Dental. However, I've had extremely unpleasant dental cleaning experiences with the two dental hygienists at 172 Dental. The first instance occurred 1.5 years ago when Etoy used metal tools for spot cleaning without asking, causing significant pain and discomfort. Although I understand she may have been following work standards, this experience made me hesitant about dental cleanings, leading me to delay my cleaning until today. During my recent visit, I informed Andrea to use water only, avoiding the metal tools that made me uncomfortable last time. She agreed and didn't use the metal tools, but she wiped Vaseline into my mouth when trying to moisturize my lips. Afterward, she performed a 'head massage' to help me relax, though she seemed unhappy with the term. Additionally, the dental floss operation was nonstandard, leading to a mouth full of blood. When rushing through the teeth cleaning, water splashed on my face, and the overall process was lengthy and uncomfortable. A review below seems to reflect a similar experience. The cleaning took place at 3 pm, and my teeth have been uncomfortable since then. I'm unable to eat stimulating foods, and I've noticed damage to my oral mucosa. This is terrible, and I never had this before. Despite Andrea suggesting that my gum health wasn't good and advising me to brush my teeth every day, I've always maintained regular oral hygiene,OK?I hope she isn't showing bias. I trust that this feedback will contribute to improving the dental cleaning experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning for future cleanings,Never."
"This place is clean and everyone is very friendly. They provide top notch service. The dentist was extremely nice, informative and knew what he was talking about. He and every single person I spoke with there was really nice and answered all of my questions. I appreciate this amazing customer service and recommend going here for your dental needs."
"Dr. Song and his staff are simply amazing! I saw Dr. Song today for one particular issue and he saw another potential problem that he addressed immediately in one visit. He is very astute and thorough and he has "magic hands". He is both a scientist and an artist and I highly recommend Dr. Song."
"This is the first time I went to this place for teeth cleaning and the experience was not happy. 1. The cleaning was very quick. I do not think a through cleaning can be finished that quickly. Also, it did not have the step of using a needle to do spot cleaning, which were included in all my previous cleanings in other places. I highly doubt if my teeth was cleaned thoroughly. 2. The cleaning was NOT gentle at all, hurting a lot. The water from water gun splashed over my face which is disgusting because the water hits my teeth first so it would contain blood, bacteria and paste for grinding teeth. 3. Before cleaning, the hygienist flossed my teeth. Her way of flossing is not the right way of flossing. The way she flosses hurt gums a lot. The purpose of cleaning is doing good to gums instead of harming gums. I really need teeth to be cleaned well for special physical condition. Very disappointed that this cleaning is so unsatisfying. I am considering doing another cleaning but my insurance would not cover another one any more. I wish I had not wasted my quota to do cleaning here."
"My visit to 172 Madison ave dentist office was wonderful. The dentist was thorough, professional, and friendly. The hygienist Andrea was incredibly competent, professional and friendly. The office staff was friendly and professional as well. Most of all their office was clean, equipped with modern equipment and pleasant environment. I recommend them highly."
