Stanhope Student Apartments

"Do not even think about living here! Fire alarm goes off five times a week. I’m actually writing this review while it’s going off at 11pm while I was trying to get some sleep. We had a hole in our ceiling that was leaking water for a week and a half before they fixed it. Power goes out randomly, we didn’t have power for two days at one point. The elevator breaks randomly also, it didn’t work for a whole two months of the first semester. We’ve had many utility issues as well, our dish washer broke, dryer broke, and our sink is falling out of the counter. The parking deck is a huge pain. The rent is wayyy too expensive and parking here is an extra 125 bucks a month. I WANT A REFUND."

"Stanhope is a lively place to live and convenient to campus. After living here 2 years I'm really starting to ask myself “what happened?”. From floods to constant fire alarms, cars that go off all night (and no way to contact in person management after hours since the calls just leave voice mails), to trash build up, frequently broken parking deck gates, and elevators broken for months. They are slow to address major issues and the lack of oversight is the biggest issue. We had a fire over 2 weeks ago and the place is still filled with slippery ash. Not to mention the incessant fire alarms. I think we’ve had at least 5 this month. The list goes on. To top it off they have incentives for leaving nice reviews. Not worth the over $300 a month they raised my current rental rate for next year. Just save yourself the trouble and the sleep and live somewhere else."

"I am very appreciative of the safety precautions Stanhope took with the fire alarms. When there was an actual emergency I knew I could trust Stanhope because of the diligence by making sure the inspections for the fire alarms were up to date. I appreciate how the management handled the situation today too! I have loved my 3 years here, no better place to call home :)"

"My first semester here was great! Very convenient location and love all the amenities. They also do free food through out the semester and are really quick to fix any problems within the apartment!"
