"Very good location. Management is superb and respond promptly with any issues you are facing. Very close to NU bus stop. Quiet and calm. We enjoyed our living here for a year. Rent is bit higher but its a great place for anyone who wants to live near campus. There is trail (Bolinwood Trail) for walk which has serenity around it. Wishing all best to team 612!"
"Old apartments that maintenance will not fix even though they close out tickets and they’ll just keep your security deposit"
"I have enjoyed my time at 612 Hillsborough. It is not a luxury townhouse by any means but to be able to live and park so close to campus is a luxury in itself. Me and my roommate had an end unit near the "dog park" which is essentially just a small gated yard. Once again, nothing luxurious but it was really convenient and close for me to take my dog to get some energy out. I have had minor issues during my stay but they are always taken care of pretty quickly by the maintenance guy, Leeko. Would be resigning my lease if I was not planning to move states in a couple weeks."
"STAY AWAY! Horrible management, from scheduling to customer service. They have no sense of responsibility. Houses are old and dated, lackluster service that takes too long. There are always more options around, never settle for this unprofessional circus. Also their positive reviews are from themselves, posted one after another to bring in traffic and mislead potential tenants."
"If I could give -5 stars I would. If you’re looking for an apartment please do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. Upon move-in there were several things that needed fixing, which was not an issue in itself. However, it took increasingly longer amounts of time for the one maintenance staff member to attend to the issue. When he finally did there was usually a part that needed to be ordered that would never arrive or the issue would be fixed only to break again soon. This was likely not the maintenance man’s fault, however it is unacceptable for one person to be responsible for that amount of units. For the last 8 months of my 2 year stay there I was unable to wash clothes in my newly replaced washing machine because it was broken. Aside from everything constantly being broken, there was also a steady presence of bugs (mostly roaches) no matter what bug spray I used in the warmer months. ESPECIALLY when it rained. The parking situation was awful until the management finally decided to fix it. Parking is very limited with there only being two (3 ish?) guest spots that were usually occupied by residents that were unwilling to pay the extra $75 a month for a second assigned spot. Good luck having guests over. With housing being so expensive in Chapel Hill, 612 Hillsborough’s $1,000 rent (before the raised the price) was great for its location at the bottom of hills going both ways out of the neighborhood. The current price is honestly ridiculous for the state of disarray the neighborhood is in. Did I mention that you pay an amenity fee for absolutely no amenities? At the end of the day, I understand that apartments close to college campuses will suck sometimes to exploit college students. The very LEAST that the leasing office could do is be responsive to its tenants. It was almost impossible to get anyone on the phone and when I finally did, the person was unhelpful. Which would have been fine but I never received a callback or even an email addressing my issue. A poor neighborhood is one thing but when combined with poor customer service it was an intolerable living experience that I would only recommend to my worst enemy."
