"I cannot recommend this apartment building enough! The building is beautiful and there are plenty of well maintained amenities like the pool and gym. The leasing staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Anytime I've had an issue the maintenance staff have been prompt and very thorough with their repairs."

"Where to begin. Do not live here unless you want constant issues, such as your car broken into, barking dogs throughout the entire complex, and aggressive dogs allowed to live there with no repercussions. The first year living here was fine. No complaints. Renewed our lease for a second year and suddenly the new group of residents who moved in all had loud, barking dogs and several of them were aggressive. I was cornered and aggressively barked at by my neighbors dog 3 times. I complained to the front office for MONTHS with no avail. I even let the front office know about my negative encounters with my neighbors dog and nothing. When I requested to be released from my lease due to being afraid of my neighbors dog, they said I had to pay a 2 month lease break which was $6,000. I even provided them with a letter from my doctor recommending I not live there anymore due to my recent encounters with the aggressive animals in the building. Although they were the ones who allowed the aggressive dog to continue living there and took zero responsibility for the issues we were having - they forced me to pay the lease break fee to get out of the lease. All in all, this company only cares about one thing - money. They add on fees to your bills without telling you. Check your water bill because they will overcharge you and only compensate you if you are the one who notices it. The elevators are always broken. And the parking garage is terrible. People drive like maniacs. The Berkshire Chapel Hill is shady and cheap and I have never had such a negative experience at an apt complex. Save yourself the trouble. Live somewhere else. There are better and less expensive places that you will have a better experience at. PS - They offer gift cards to people who give them a 5 star review on here so I would be real careful about believing the “good” reviews posted. If you end up living here, best of luck."

"Excellent living experience because of the folks in the leasing office - extremely kind, helpful, and proactive. Also, they take pride in maintaining a good experience for all residents; all my maintenance calls have been resolved within the day. Thankful to call Berkshire home for a bit!"

"It has at a very convenient location. There are multiple grocery stores and a pharmacy in walking distance. I don’t need to take the car out when I ran out of some stuff. The staff is great. They are quite responsive. I usually get my service requests completed on the same day or the next day."

"Max and the entire Berkshire team have made our cross-country move to NC a warm welcome! Great facilities, tons of floor plan options, and amazing location (across from Whole Foods, walkable to Trader Joe’s). And, amenities (like coworking spaces) that are great for people who work from home, like me."
