"i didn’t want to leave a review, but feel it’s necessary. my husband and i lived here for a little over two years. the grounds are kept beautifully, but the inside of the apartments are very old and need work. i was in 61E8 & dealt with constant mold issues and a broken pipe for close to the whole time living there. we were exposed to sewage gas for at least two years and told several times there was nothing wrong until we decided to move, the new maintenance team took it seriously and got me help to find out there was a broken pipe but it took a lot of work and two years of being exposed to that. the tubs are constantly peeling even though they resurfaced it last year. overall i just say beware especially if you care about mold exposure. there is also very little to no communication about servicing the apartment"
"my first year here was amazing. but this second year has been awful. smoke detector has been chirping since january. multiple maintenance requests to exchange the battery have been marked as completed, however, no work has actually been done, no batteries replaced. TALK ABOUT A SAFETY HAZARD. i know i could probably do it myself, but that’s not the point. i was also out of a dishwasher for MONTHS as that is how long it took for that maintenance to be completed, and that was after calling the office and complaining. the overall community has changed since moving in late 2021. the package and trash valet service are not great. the pool not being open over the summer was severely disappointing. the gym is barely a gym. when i moved to the area, i was really excited for what this community had to offer, and they have made me resent that excitement. the only perks is that the area is quiet, safe, and close by to everything you may need."
"Amenities and maintenance is severely lacking here... the pools have opened late, and by the time we tried to use the grill for hot dogs, the propane was out. We came back day after day because we just wanted to grill, and the staff never fails to surprise us by saying "we will get it fixed tomorrow" and then surprise surprise, it's NOT fixed tomorrow and the staff rotates so god knows who brought up the issue in the first place!! This is the third consecutive day they do not have propane for the grills, the third consecutive day we were denied our community amenities due to the staffs lack of coordination. At this point we just bought a propane tank out of pocket since the staff are incapable of fixing it. They don't clean their amenities too, the grills are dirty. Small cobwebs and ants are sometimes seen near the grills and chairs in the area since they aren't cleaned. In addition, work orders barely go through, and if they do, good luck waiting a week or so just to get it fixed. Or maybe sometimes they just don't fix it at all!!! Our door has loose rubber sealants that they simply dusted under the rug for our work order, I doubt they will ever fix it. When we first moved in too, the place was a mess, cracked walls, dust, and everything. Apparently, it's not up to them to clean the place for new tenants. Only wifi provider is spectrum too... the worst wifi carrier... This place is all talk and no action, all boasting about amenities and benefits yet offering NONE. Get your stuff together, in the meantime, I would not recommend moving in here unless desperate or until they actually mean business and fix up their maintenance staff and coordination"
"My roommate and I waited over 30 days for our secutiry deposit without hearing a thing. I sent emails and called multiple times leaving messages and was not responded to. Eventually I had to show up to the leasing office in person to address the situation. Since it had been over 30 days past our move out date I requested that we recieve the enitre security deposit since that is state law. I worked with Cassandra who is the property manager and she agreed. She explained that our forwarding address had been mishandled by a temp employee and that she would send for our check and remove the damages charged. When I finally recieved the check it was not for the amount we had discussed but was about $35 less than we were promised. There also was no record of damages or itemized list for what we were being charged for. I attempted to reach out to the office again multiple times and emailed Cassandra and recieved no response. I am very disapointed in this management and this has been the biggest headache for my roommate and I. Overall living here was just average. The apartments are not as nice as they advertized, and the pools were out of comission for a while. The security deposit was the most frustrating part of our stay but it has been such a significant stressor that it has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend living here."
"I lived there from January 2015 to June 2023. Always paid rent on time. A good tenant with no complaints. Maintenance staff has always been OK but the current property management company, Bell Partners, took nearly 6 weeks to get organized, when they first took over, for a simple maintenance call. In all that time the rents steadily climbed until this year's proposed rent. It is about 2 1/2 times what it was when I moved in. That's a more than 200% increase over 8 1/2 years! To top it off, they never did anything to improve our apartment. Then this year they wanted to add in Fetch package service as an "amenity", giving you the privilege of paying $480 ($40/month) on top of your $120 Amazon Prime membership fee just to have packages delivered to your front door. (search Fetch, they have a terrible reputation and a horrible BBB rating) When I said I wasn't interested in the service, they said too bad, it's an amenity and we pay whether we use it or not. Over the weekend the trash is allowed to build up in huge piles outside of the compactor making it a fantastic attraction for vermin. No extra charge for the wildlife! They have 2 swimming pools but I've rarely seen both open at the same time. Well in the early days I did, but not since Bell Partners took over. It took them nearly 2 years to fix potholes. My wife and I had to take a longer route through the property just to get out and not bottom out our cars. And then there's the property manager. All the front line staff could be busy with customers and tenants and she won't even look up from her computer and come out to help them with other people waiting. We went through a half dozen PMs at this location and they were always friendly and helpful. The current one is the absolute worst, most unprofessional I've ever done business with. It's as if personal customer service is beneath her. Even when I wanted to have discussions about a lease matter or other item with her, she never moved from her office nor invited me in. She would instead, have an intermediary shuffle our conversation back and forth. Here's the kicker. When we moved out, we received our deposit assessment and had a credit coming to us but I noticed a $35 charge for stove drip pans. They, of course supply the cheapest ones they can find and, I'm guessing cost them no more than $12. Anyway, I called to ask them if they were serious and, well, they said, hey it's in your lease, somewhere. Rather than waste time going through fine print. I said I would return them. (BTW the movers grabbed them because they were on the counter. We don't need them in our new place as our stove top is ceramic glass). So I did, in person, and they said they would issue the check request. It all comes from HQ as you can imagine. 6 weeks later and still no $35 check. And both the property manager and Bell Partners head office have ignored my emails. My advice? It's an ok facility. Good location. But the rental service company and, especially the property manager, are not worth your trouble. They're horrible. There are other properties in the same area, that are newer facilities and much more processional staff. Just go rent somewhere else."
