"Terrible. You guys have the worst apartment complex in the history of apartments! You let mexicans loiter in the parking lot with nothing else better to do there while playing their loud music and being extremely loud working on their trucks all day. Honestly, you people are terrible and I hope your company gets inspected! Honestly! Why have an apartment complex without no security?? Oh yeah! Greedy apartment owners! You people are terrible!!! Get a real job!"
"Pros don’t outweigh the cons. It seems like the current ownership is trying to work on improving the property but there are still many reasons we can’t wait to leave in two months. Pros: The office staff is SO nice as well as the maintenance crew!! (Only reason I gave two stars and not one) The rent is lower than most places Maintenance is usually fast (in business hours) Cons: I’ve had a package stolen (on a ring camera, but the person was unidentifiable) Cars have been stolen and tinkered with here. There is broken glass, beer bottles/caps, trash and cigarette butts everywhere on the grounds which is why I don’t let my daughter play outside. Their “playground” is rusted and swarmed with bee’s and overgrown tree branches. Stuff breaks all the time, but at least they are usually quick to fix it. Apparently they won’t come fix your AC after biz hours if it’s less than 80 degrees outside even though it’s so humid we’re overheating in here. Roaches. They are at least trying to fix this problem. We used to see 10+ a day now we go a few days without seeing one so it’s getting better. It looks like they did bathfitter or something and just tried to cover up black mold in the bathrooms. There’s glass in the parking lots. No amenities minus a pool that I don’t find appealing to swim in. No security cameras, so if anything happens outside or in the parking lot you are screwed. Laundry machines are trash. I take my laundry to iWash365 around the corner when I can now because the machines here either don’t work, don’t dry in one session (on a normal load), and I’ve had several experiences where clothing comes out of the washer with small holes in. The photos you see on google/the internet (per usual) are edited to make the grounds look a lot nicer than they are. Especially the kids playground. All in all, I am thankful for them giving us a cheap start when we moved to Wilmington, but now that I can I will definitely be choosing to spend more money on rent somewhere else for a better experience."
"Terrible place to live...unprofessional peopl..they keep information from there clients. They also will tell you that ur apartment will be ready in 2 weeks but it really takes around a month & more. They have a terrible background checking system that would say that you have a Felony when you really don't. I'm a homeless veteran that qualifies for a two bedroom apartment because I have a child with me. I gave them everything they needed in December. Now is January 17 and I'm out of $225 no apartment and still living in my car. I wouldn't suggest NOT moving there find another complex that is not associated with them... I know I have"
"don’t let the low star ratings scare you, those reviews are old. i wanted to wait until my move out month to give a review. i have to say, what really made my experience at the Pines is the amazing office staff, specifically Amy. the maintenance can be slow at times, but they make up for it in fixing any issues that occur and are polite while doing it. the new management has helped to make a lot of things run smoother. everyone in the office is so helpful! thank you guys for everything! if i wasn’t moving out of state, i certainly would’ve stayed at the pines."
"At first when we moved in November it was a little sketchy and throughout the next couple months management was horrible but after this new company bought it out everything has been amazing! Amy is working so hard and the managers are doing amazing things! We were staying at a 1 bed 1 bth and not a crazy amount of roaches (1-5) when we had problems needing fixing they came and fixed it. We will be moving into a 2 bd this Monday and we’re excited to see what this new company has for the community! The Pines doesn’t have the best reputation but I promise you guys it will be getting better!!"
