Holiday Inn Wilmington-Market St., an IHG Hotel

"We only stayed for a night as we were in town to visit a friend. The room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable. They are under renovation so the breakfast is in brown bags and I got a chorizo burrito that was a little spicy my husband received a ham egg and cheese croissant and I'm not sure they should be sat out on a table like they are for any period of time. But the stay was decent I hope they have proper breakfast once reno is done"

"The front desk staff was kind and helpful but that's the only thing good about this hotel. The room and hotel in general was FILTHY (see photos). I travel often for work and always stay in IHG hotels because they are usually great for the price but this one was, by far, the worst. Never again. With so many other hotels very close to this one, I can safely say that I would encourage anyone else to avoid this particular hotel."

"This place charged my card 375 for smoking in the room. I went to talk to the management about it and got three different stories about why it was charged to my card . First was it was a cigarette, then it was a vape , then told it was marijuana. Then I asked why we were not kicked out when they initially smelt the smell. If someone was doing illegal activities that's grounds to kick someone out. They allowed us to stay another night!! When I confronted the management they could not get their stories together. They charged my card 375 the smoking fee is 200!! They have no grounds to do such a thing and when I asked them about it they could not give me a vaild reason. Do not stay here.They must get a bonus for things like this!!"

"Overall really great experience here, everyone was super kind. There was some kind of mix up and our room wasn't ready when we got there but the custodial staff cleaned it super quickly and were always very accommodatingwith stuff we needed. We were always greeted when returning for the night, and check in and out was seamless. Location wise it is in a great spot as far as proximity to things but it is a beast to get in and out of this place with peak traffic. Nothing the hotel can really do about this obviously but I think it is worth mentioning, it was bad enough at times to sit there 8-10 minutes, this was off season too,I can't imagine in June or July. Going left was not possible at times."

"Outside of the front desk employees, especially the young lady in the morning who saved the day by offering me coffee when i left at 5am, there is nothing nice about this location. We always stay at a holiday inn, but this was the worst experience so far and leaves me wondering why I insist on staying there. We always count on a nice clean updated room. The room was dirty, see pics for the chair and a beer can i found when i pulled the sheers back. We checked in and then came down to ask for shampoo and coffee. They had no shampoo and only decaf coffee. I get up and leave before 6 a.m., so I need coffee in my room. Had we been told these things at check-in, we could've gone to the store and bought them. I will never stay at this location again and will start looking at other properties, like the Wyndham down the street. Very disappointing Holiday Inn, I will no longer look for your properties first. Stay far away from this location."
