Hampton Inn Wilmington-University Area/Smith Creek Station

"Hampton Inn has never let me down! For me, they offer a nice experience, clean and updated rooms, as well as excellent service for a reasonable price. There are cheaper places to stay, but I'll gladly pay the extra 20-30 a night for a clean room with a walk-in shower, king size bed, and good Wi-Fi. As well as being in a good part of town. The breakfast is nice, and I also just love the overall atmosphere of Hamptons whenever I first walk in. They give you that 5 star feel, without the 5-star price. Another great stay from my preferred hotel brand."

"Love the front desk staff as they are always pleasant and friendly. Hotel is well maintained and very clean. Lots of lobby seating and a good size breakfast area. (Breakfast is included). Gym was actually nice and clean. Looks like newer equipment. Pool right outside gym. Rooms are bigger and laid out better. King beds with 5 pillows, all comfortable. Had a small microwave and medium mini-fridge with freezer. Lots of lighting in room. Bathroom is bigger and vanity longer. Good shower water pressure as well. The surrounding area had a few restaurants and shopping."

"We found two roaches in the room in the span of less than two hours. One roach is a coincidence, two is a problem. Called the front desk and they gaslit us by saying they were water bugs (waterbugs don’t have massive antennas dude) said they couldn’t find us in the system despite us literally having checked in earlier, and we were in the room when we called. We ran out as fast as we could. Front desk dude didn’t even offer an apology. Don’t stay here!"

"Minus one star because several of the front desk employees had attitudes. ** Annie is a rockstar!! She is the nicest, most polite employee they have. Hope you get her at front desk/check in. Also, one of the ladies that worked with the food was awesome. Her name was Barbara or Brenda. So helpful and sweet"
