"Room was kinda dingy, especially in the bathroom. There was a huge gap under my door, so the hallway was soooo loud. Beds were clean, breakfast was good."
"This hotel has been under renovation well over a year. I have stayed here four times in the last year. I don’t mind waking up on a Saturday morning to the sound of a hammer drill, I don’t mind hunting for a parking spot, none of that kept me from coming back. What I do expect is for the WiFi to work. This last stay was for two nights, the internet was out from the time I checked in until the time I checked out two day later. Who knows how long it was out after I left or before I arrived. As a business traveler, the single most important thing to me is reliable WiFi. To have to go two days & nights with no internet is simply unacceptable. I work closely with IT personel in my company and happen to know the equipment to maintain internet is not that expensive. If the management cared for the needs of their clientele, they would have redundant backup equipment to maintain fast and reliable WiFi. I myself keep an extra modem at home in case one breaks down. When calling the front desk asking about the status of the fix, the lady rudely transferred me to the manager. The manager came up with a million excuses about how it was beyond their control. There is NO excuse to have your internet down for that many days! I will not be coming back here next time I have to work in Wilmington."
"Checked in to a room with stains on the bed and sofa. When given the opportunity to right their wrong, I was sent to a room with a toilet that didn't stop running and a shower that didn't function. They finally relocated me to a room that would suffice and when asked if they could extend my checkout time so I can finally relax in the room they eventually gave me, I was given an extra half hour after being advised what time checkout was, as if Sean was doing me any favors. Morning staff seems like they're holding a grudge over a disagreement you knew nothing about. I would recommend any of the other hotels to stay at in the area. Sean who is a "manager" refused to rectify the situation and is probably the sole reason I will never return to this hotel."
"Absolutely the absolute worst hotel I have entered in my entire life. I can’t even say that I stayed there because once we checked out the room we left. It was absolutely filthy. But the most horrifying thing about it was the fact that the bathroom door locked from the outside meaning that if you went into the bathroom, somebody could lock you in there and you would have no way at all to get out. Why would a bathroom door only lock from the outside? It made me feel so uncomfortable and it was absolutely creepy. And the fact that there was a speck of blood in the bathtub didn’t help my uneasiness. We got out of there as soon as we could. It was so unsettling and I would never recommend anybody step foot in this location. I took a video, but it won’t let me share that so I’m going to share a few photos. I tried to contact someone about getting a refund/my reward night back, but have had no such luck."
"Mattress was old and had rips on it, floors were nasty, even had a piece of candy stuck to the carpet in the room. The elevators don’t feel very secure as they bounce sorta like a trampoline when you walk in. The pool was really nice and was probably my favorite part of the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t the best, I settled for cereal. What I didn’t like is when arriving later in the night, the parking lot is in the back of the building but you have to walk all the way around the front of the building to go in the front door (for my safety as the sign on the rear door states). When walking through the front door, no card is needed, ID wasn’t checked and no questions asked. You have to keep walking down the hallway back to the rear part of the hotel (where the parking lot entrance is) to get on the elevators. Why do we have to walk around again? Nonetheless, it’s a decent hotel outside of a few things that stood out to me. I’m in the area often and will likely stay here again although my normal go to is on medical park."
