SpringHill Suites by Marriott Wilmington Mayfaire

"I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed three nights to celebrate two family birthdays and every need was met, every staff member was cheerful, friendly and helpful, and to top it off, the breakfast was delightful each day. It is so nice to walk off the elevator early in the morning and see an array of coffee choices just waiting to get your day started...good coffee, a selection of teas and lots of hazelnut creamer (my personal favorite)! The General Manager, Steve Varieur, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in every possible way. He has a great relationship with his staff which makes all aspects of a visit work well. Our rooms were perfect - clean and quiet with nice linens and extra pillows to prop up with while reading. This is the place to stay in Wilmington. Mayfaire is across the street so shopping is easily accessible if needed and it is a short hop to ILM. This is my goto place whenever I visit from here on! Thank you Steve and Company for making our birthday extravaganza just that little bit more perfect!"

"Check in was easy, our room was adequate, the beds were firm and slightly uncomfortable but there were many pillow choices. The room had many cosmetic flaws but that’s to be expected. The shower was hot and felt amazing. The breakfast bar was fully stocked and there were many options. Overall it was exactly what we needed for a one night stay."

"Absolutely one of the worst stays with Marriott. This location might be great for shopping etc. However, the hotel itself needs help. We checked in Friday night for 2 nights. We immediately entered a room that smelled musty and was humid. We complained but nothing was available. Then next day we showered with a broken shower door that wouldn't close (report led to the front desk lady) nothing was done. I was also charged over $4 for a market purchase that I never did. We asked for more towels and declined maid services so they didn't get them to us for Sunday check out. I am completely confused also at the air unit blowing directly on the bed. We ended up shutting it off adding to the smell and no air flow. The stampede of the room above rattled the glass desk slides until 3am and the very inconsiderate people screaming outside and down the halls was infuriating. So if you stay here don't stay in room 131 it was less than what you would expect from a Marriott."

"This used to be my favorite hotel ive been coming for years. The hotel rooms have gotten pretty dirty. I dont think the price tag is worth the stay anymore. Usually the staff is very friendly but the rooms def need to be scrubbed hard or repainted. Pool is nice."

"We have visited a lot of hotels and this hotel by far was the best. Customer service was amazing. Kyle checked us in and my son who never comments about anything says make sure to give him a great review. Every staff member we encountered was very kind and courteous. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The beds slept so good. The bartender on Saturday night let’s just say he is a Margarita expert. Blended the ingredients perfectly, no over powering of one ingredient over the other. This was one of the best weekend getaways I have had in years."
