"I normally sleep with two toddlers at night and we booked this room as a night away. Our room was literally over a nightclub. A NIGHTCLUB. The music is unbearably loud. I used to live right next to train tracks and it didnt bother us. This bothered us. It wasnt something that could be fixed with ear plugs or a sound machine as the entire room was rattling from the bass. We were here for an event and we will be advising the board and the director to choose a different location for next year for this reason. The parking process was difficult, we were charged for the room twice. This is literally the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We will not stay here again."
"Absolutely worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. This hotel is loud.. extremely loud. Like they put absolutely 0 effort into sound proofing. Not only do they allow root top events to disrupt their other guests by not controlling their noise. Yes you can hear a band from the 7tj floor vibrate the walls of the 3rd floor. You can also hear the trains horn constantly going through the night. Also my room can hear everyone's toilet and shower. Just awful"
"We decided to block off rooms at the AC Hotel Downtown location for our wedding, and we had an overall great experience! When asking our guests for feedback, they had nothing but positive things to say. From first impressions, they felt like the hotel and rooms themselves were beautiful. They thought the staff at the front desk was very accommodating (ex. if a guest forgot something they were able to help them out) and the location was awesome. Considering my group was coming from out of town/carless and essentially here to celebrate all weekend long, they appreciated how close the bar was next door and the hotel's overall proximity to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc. From my perspective of booking the rooms and being a guest, I also had a very positive experience. Blocking off rooms here was incredibly easy, and I felt like the rate they provided me for guests was very reasonable for the location. I felt like the sales team was very communicative and accommodating, and this took a lot of stress off my plate throughout the entire wedding planning process. Even when the original point person I was in contact with left their department, Lyndsey (our new point person) immediately introduced herself, became familiar with my room block, and did everything she could to make sure things were taken care of for my party. She kept me up to date with number of rooms booked in my block, made sure guests got their gift bags, and offered to put up signage for shuttle times. I felt extremely taken care of throughout this whole process, and I'd highly recommend blocking off rooms at this hotel for your wedding guests! My only "negatives" about this hotel would have to be the noise and lack of free parking. As I mentioned before, there's a bar located directly next door to the hotel. If you're someone who goes to bed early or is a light sleeper, you can definitely hear that noise at night and this probably wouldn't be a great location for you to stay at. Additionally, there is no free parking at this location ($15/night) and street parking is minimal/meter only."
"1. No management 2. No communication 3. No insulation 4. No parking 5. No housekeeping I don’t usually leave a review, but this was the single worst hotel experience I’ve had in years. Sadly, you can’t give fewer than 1-star to warn future guests. The lack of basic service and communication from the staff was mind boggling. Avoid at all costs."
"Great location! They have parking available, two total parking lots, neither are huge but we had no problem finding a spot during our stay on a pretty busy weekend. Rooftop bar is beautiful, first come first served for bar, everything else is treated like a restaurant, so make a reservation if you don’t want to wait! Plenty of options in the hotel store, and rooms were clean and comfy."
