Kingston Plantation, Myrtle Beach SC

"My family and I went to Kingston Plantation back in June 2023 Summer and stayed 5 days 4 nights. The villa was amazing!!! The drinks were not good at all!! I’m sorry but, they were nasty!! I love Kingston Plantation our trip for this year was $2500. After our trip I booked for next year same dates the price went up $1000 it is now over $3500 for 5 days 4 nights this is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! I’m sure the cost went up do to Kingston remodeling the water park area and building that new restaurant!! But, this is too much!! My baby loved that new water park and spent 90% of his vacation there he’s 5 almost 6…..I don’t have the heart to tell him we can’t afford to go back next year…..I ask Kingston Plantation please lower your price so that I may take my son? My entire family loves it there or at least let us pay on the trip a little at a time. This price is ridiculous!!! I’m only giving it 3 stars because of the price and drinks everything else was AMAZING!!!"

"We stayed in the Windermere by the sea Villa 6A. We payed almost 2,000 dollars for 2 days and 2 nights ( Aug 19-20, 2023) in a outdated home with huge water bugs and roaches, broken downstairs bathroom, keys that never worked, water damage in the upstairs bathroom closet, mold in the tubs and around the kitchen sink, and broken blinds all over the house that had 1968 board games all over the house and the housekeeping was extremely rude. On the last day I asked for wash cloths and was sent a trash bag full of hand towels. Why are their no grills? The only good thing I can say is the main pool with the water slides was nice even though the water was cloudy and it closed at sunset (pools should stay open later no matter which one) and the beach was in less than a 5 min walk. I was so disgusted with all the mold I felt nauseous trying to eat. I read the rest of the reviews and it seems as though all of this is basically what to expect when staying here for that reason I probably would not stay again. Just disappointed"

"moment we walked in the doorway the place had a musky smell check it out and it's very outdated damage to the furniture and so much dust accumulated on ceiling fans. pull out bed had food on the mattress clearly there is no thorough cleaning happening which has you thinking do they even clean after people check out? Last but not least the bedding for the bed and sofa bed weren't readily available had to call guest services and ask for some. This was our experience in the Villa at West Hyde Park wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if you want a positive experience this isn't it."

"Made arrangements via my Hilton Honors account. Wonderful condo, secure environment, so much to do within the facility itself, we didn't have time to do everything. The staff was amazing."

"The one bedroom villa where we stayed was close enough to the beach (a ten minute walk). Parking is easy, but it was also far from the check in desk and area where things were happening. The villa itself was okay, though the furniture is wildly outdated, the sofa bed was covered in questionable stains, and the place just seemed really dirty and run down. There was a notable amount of dust and grime around the vents, and there were at least four dead cockroaches when we entered. It smelled a little like a nursing home, and it didn’t have even the most basic of amenities (e.g., paper towels). There were also random gross stains on a lot of the framed pictures throughout the villa that gave me the willies, and when we had the ceiling fan I’m the bedroom on, I was 99% sure that it was going to fall off and kill us in our sleep because it was creaking and shaking. The community was quiet enough and seemed safe, but it was definitely not as close to things as in other parts of Myrtle Beach. You’d definitely need a car or golf cart even to go eat for the most part. It was a decent enough place to sleep after doing stuff during the day, but I wouldn’t consider coming back."
