"Purchased a home built in 1966-one owner. Interviewed five builders and selected Prince and Sons. We are so happy we selected them. Each of them brings different skills to the mix and added to the quality of our remodel. They let us know that they were busy and the start date would be delayed which allowed us to work with them on our plans and receive a good estimate. We took a few things off and added others as we went along. Ben and his sons were easy to work with and sent change orders whenever we added things to our list of to do's. We were in Texas while most of the work was being done but visited several times. We met many of the contractors and liked everyone we met. Ben kept us informed about next steps and any delays and the cause of those delays. When we visited, the house was neat and tidy considering it was a construction zone. We trusted Ben and his sons to do what we asked. Funny redoing a 60's house and loving mid century modern made me much more picky than I knew I was. They accommodated my requests and did an excellent job. Not sure that five stars are enough. We hope to use them again when we do more work. Thanks!"
"Dear Prince Team: Thank you, thank you, thank you, for transforming our 1970s kitchen into a thing of beauty. We enjoyed working with the entire team from Ben, Patrick, David, and Isaac to the wonderful group of talented sub-contractors. Everyone was professional, helpful, friendly, and went the extra mile to address our needs. You made the process painless, and we adore our new kitchen."
"I am writing to tell you just how happy we were with our recent experience with Prince and Sons. My husband and I had been dreaming of our perfect kitchen for a long time. From our first encounter with Prince and Sons, we knew that we had found the right GC for our job. Ben and Patrick walked us through the process and were endlessly patient with us to get all the details just right. As we worked through the design process with Patrick, they made sure we understood how each option we explored would impact the price and scope of the work, but also what it would mean long term for maintenance, upkeep and life expectancy. There were so many details, but Patrick helped us to not feel overwhelmed by them. Once we signed off on the design and put on the schedule, we got regular updates on the progress of preparations, when materials would arrive, when we could expect delivery of custom work, etc. The project began ahead of schedule, and we heard from Patrick nearly every day of the project: what work would be happening and who would be coming out that day. This project was big, it needed plumbers, electricians, carpenters, engineers, sometimes several in the same day, but we were always in the loop. It was clear that these were contractors who worked together often and worked together well; a network of local, small business owners that were also excellent craftspeople. By the end of the project, even my kids were on a first name basis with the Prince crew and their subcontractors, and our three dogs were always excited to see a work truck pull up to the house. The project started in early summer 2021, so we had some setbacks and delays that were unavoidable, and the Prince crew went above and beyond to keep the project moving. We had scattered delays because of supply chain issues, but Patrick kept us in the loop on what was being delayed and when we might expect it. Late in the project, we got some bad news that our countertops were sitting in a warehouse in Pennsylvania and would not be headed our way for a while. We were devastated and thought that we would have to pick a different material. Ben Prince DROVE TO PENNSYLVANIA TO PICK UP THE COUNTERTOPS HIMSELF! Within 48 hours of us getting the news that the countertop wasn’t going anywhere for a while, David and Isaac were installing them in our kitchen! Just an unbelievable commitment to making sure we were getting what we wanted for our home on budget and on time. The kitchen is finally done, and it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Undeniably the kitchen my husband and I had been dreaming about since before we were married. We could not have asked for a better partner on our home improvement adventure. We’ll be calling them again when we are ready for our next home project."
"Prince & Sons did a two phase renovation for us in 2021. The first phase was for our upstairs living space, the second for our kitchen, laundry room and powder. They exceeded expectations with their consistent communication, collaboration and honest, transparent pricing. We were provided with a Google Calendar for project management as well as updates on pricing, delays (of which there were very little) and contact numbers for whenever we had questions or concerns. Ben, Patrick & David were all very responsive with any inquiries, changes and concerns. The quality of their work and their subcontractors work is paramount. Our kitchen has the aesthetic of Architectural Digest but with the function a home cook seeks. We cannot speak highly enough of Prince & Sons and are so thankful they were able to add us to their busy calendar."
"Our kitchen renovation job (October 2019) started with a consultation where Ben & Patrick came to our home & got a look at the space & we were able to discuss what we wanted as the final product. We basically wanted everything gutted & replaced with new products. They took measurements & we had a meeting to voice all our concerns & they went through the quote with us very thoroughly & discussed options of costs. It took about five weeks from start of demolition to completion of this project & that was very reasonable to us. It was a slow start in the beginning, but I feel that was due to inspections & not the actual contractors. Once things started to roll, they were working most days on the project & we very quickly saw changes. They installed flooring protection for our wood floors & covered the furniture to protect from the drywall dust. Patrick was really flexible in dropping by the house to check on things & to leave us samples to choose colors, etc. Since we both work full time, it was easier to have the samples of floor & counters left at our house so we could see them in the space after work & make decisions & just email them to Patrick. We really appreciated that flexibility so we wouldn't have to take time off of work. The products installed & the work done is absolutely fantastic! The sub contractors were friendly for the most part & approachable when we had questions. The quality of installation is amazing in our opinion & the kitchen looks a million times better. We have gotten so many compliments on the backsplash & the floors & how professional everything looks. The cabinetry is an upgrade from the 90s cabinets we had & they've given us much, much more storage & made the space look more modern. We love the color! When I wasn't 100% happy with the staining job on the drawer fronts (cabinet maker's responsibility, not the contractors), Prince & Sons had them sent back & replaced with a product that was stained better. They even left us a small can of stain to use in the future for touch-ups. They were also very open to us purchasing things on our own & using them (we purchased our own faucet to save a bit of money, as well as the actual backsplash tile). We did appreciate that so we could take the savings & put them into other things, like funding the half wall project. We did have a chance to give a final punch list & Prince & Sons did a great job correcting the very small things we brought up. We had very few issues during the actual renovation that we asked to be corrected & they seemed to get things right on the first try. The project was not cheap, but I absolutely wanted someone licensed to do the work & that just ends up costing a bit more than someone unlicensed. It was worth the peace of mind to me, to pay a bit more & know things were done safely & done to last. I only have two small gripes. Communication was good for most of the project, but it's the only thing I wish there had been a bit more of. When the main communicator was out of town, I felt like no one really kept us updated on what was going on & I had to reach out about the next steps or if anything was needed on our end. I did have access to their google calendar & that was a great help! My other slight issue was the messiness during construction. Yes, construction is messy, but we were still living here with our three cats & it seemed like some of the subcontractors didn't clean up when they were done for the day (dirt tracked in, small pieces of drywall/debris on the floor, water on the floors from when it rained, etc). A few times materials were left in front of the master bedroom door, where we were still living, & we had to move them ourselves. Not a huge deal, but that's my two small complaints overall. I would 100% recommend them & hire them again to do work in my home. This is a great family business that really cares about their clients & that's worth a great deal to me. We are so incredibly thankful for the work they did in our home."
