"Was seen by Dr. Hagedorn today as recently moving to the UES and was in search of a new dentist. Starting from the front desk who was knowledgeable, fast, and accommodating to my needs to the dental assistant (I apologize for not knowing his name); he was extremely polite, patient, and helpful! I appreciated his professionalism a lot! Finally, Dr. Hagedorn who was extremely patient in helping me understand what was going on, updating me on everything he was doing, and overall being gentle with the whole process and I tent to get super nervous at the dentists’ Great, professional team overall!"

They got me through the Invisalign process in time for my wedding day, and I couldn’t be happier with the results or support they gave throughout the process. Plus the staff is kind and relaxed. they make it so that easy to do regular cleanings and not the onerous chore it used to be. Wait times are short and I always feel like people take the time to answer my questions and listen to any concerns I have. 10 out of 10 recommend!"

I was very anxious as usual during my visit but Dr. Bar and Dr. Smith’s chair-side manner is beyond exceptional not only making me feel super comfortable and relaxed but also trustworthy with their knowledgeable as well as personable behavior. I really appreciated how well they able to communicate with my dental needs and educate explaining every procedure in detail with their high tech X-rays & scans motivating preventive home care. Equally competent are their friendly staffs always willing work around my schedule assuring the best care. "I have been coming to Bar and Smith Dental beginning of this year and I have been receiving the best service! Dr Bar went above and beyond from helping me fix my fractured tooth to replacing my old two front crowns. He’s really great communicating the plan and answering any concerns before proceeding any procedures. Also, I’m usually not great with injections he’s very gentle with a good hand, I barely felt a pinch! The front desk dillon always greets me with a smile and is accommodating with scheduling me my next appointment. I never thought I’d find another great dentist since moving to NYC and I’m so grateful to call this my dental home. I overall had an amazing experience each visit and Looking forward to my next!"

"Great dentist, horrible front desk secretaries. Overall the actual dental work I received from Bar and Smith was great. However, the customer service from front desk staff was not. I took off work early to come 30min early for my appointment. Upon arriving the front desk notified me I had canceled my appointment reporting “patient no longer lives in New York” which was absolutely wrong (I am a proud resident of Mount Vernon, NY) and that I called to cancel my appointment. In response, I confirmed my family members future upcoming appointments to demonstrate the obvious…..that we still live in NY and explained I never called to cancel my appointment. As I was trying to better understand the situation and troubleshoot the potential errors that happened on my previous phone interaction, the front desk worker (date of incident 8/4 @1:30pm) rudely interrupted me by saying in a semi raised voice…”but I thought you said you never spoke to anyone”…..insinuating I was making up a story, or simply lying. At any rate, a customer service standard in a peaceful non violent situation is the customer is always right. Perhaps, there was no way to get my appointment that day, which I understand, errors happen. But to provoke some sort of argument with a customer who feels they have been wronged is not an intelligent path to take for a small business. I hope the owners (Bar and Smith) read this to improve their staff to better service their patients, and if this review falls on deaf ears, and losing a family of 3 to your practice is not an issue, then this whole situation make a lot more sense."
