The Cedars at Greenbrier 200 Red Cedar Court, Chesapeake, VA 23320

"I really want to give 5 stars but one major issue will not allow me to. I’ll start with the positives: app process was smooth. Jeniya was amazing! The move in process was good. Anything I’ve submitted as a concern, the ladies (Ms. Blondell has been helpful also) & maintenance were on top of it. Haven’t had any major issues with the community to complain about (I’m really unproblematic). I honestly think it’s a decent place to live overall EXCEPT (the con): the internet service!!! I do NOT like that we don’t have the freedom to choose our own internet service provider!!! TELCOM has really inconvenienced me a lot & I haven’t been a resident for a year yet (kind of regretting my choice to renew another year because of this). Internet is needed to pay the bills (& this is one of the bills I’m paying for)!!!!!!!! I wouldn’t have a problem if The Cedars didn’t force the WORSE internet company on us. But to have to be inconvenienced for a week with no guaranteed credit back for not having service is unacceptable (Telcom)! If The Cedars changed to a better internet provider or give us the freedom to choose our own, in my opinion, this would be a 5 star place to live (besides the grounds, including the breezeways, could be kept up a little better) but I guess they’re doing the best they can. Please switch internet service providers, PLEASE consider this!!! Or while I’m inconvenienced give me back the basic cable channels that came with the Apt when I moved in so I can at least watch tv (that feature was taken away a couple of months after moving in smh)!!"

"I have been living here for 3 years and I love it. The office is easy to deal with and prompt with anything I need. The grounds and common areas are nicely kept up, plenty of parking, and they have generous community events."

"Great place to live in when you are there. However, they don't keep up the mowing so animals are going to the bathroom in grass as tall as them. Staff ignored us and gave us the cold shoulder because we were leaving due to them increasing rent hundreds of dollars. When I asked them why they were increasing by so much they stated "we have to meet the average of others"... Maintenance was great though. Also, They tried to charge us for things when we were leaving so we could pay for their updates to the apartment even though all things were documented on the pre-move in inspection."

"If I could give the Cedars at Greenbrier 10 Stars I would. From the time I moved in EVERY staff member has been FANTASTIC! Anytime I had an issue I would call the office and they were always on top of things always no matter what the issue or question may have been. I have never lived in a complex with such great maintenance staff. One time my heat went out around 2am on a weekend (the office was closed) so I called the emergency line and by 4:30am someone from maintenance was there to fix the issues. When I’m leaving for work in the mornings the maintenance staff is always around working or cleaning up the facility but they always take the time out to say good morning when they see me. Don’t get me started on the up-keeping of the facility itself, LOVE it! It is so welcoming and clean to any guest you may have over. I’m usually a pretty hard critic but when I say I have not one single complaint about the cedars I mean it. Unfortunately I had to break my lease a little early due to work orders, the office staff and office manager have been such a breath of fresh air. They helped me make the process so smooth and easy, they have accommodated so much for me and I cannot thank them enough. If you’re looking for a great place to call HOME I highly recommend the Cedars. I LOVE the Cedars and will definitely miss living on their facility."

"Been here for almost two years and management and maintenance are still absolutely amazing. When you put in a maintenance request you can bet it will be fulfilled withing a business day or two. Management is constantly organizing community events. The apartments and very nice and feel new/taken care of. The area is great with many things within walking distance. Being very close to Oak Grove Park is also great for walks/working out/getting into nature. Overall I would highly recommend the Cedars."
