"11.26.2023:This hotel is a franchise and has an infestation of roaches. When advised the night supervisor Mike . I was advised that my room will be switched and also will be compensated. My was room was switched to another room of roaches. When checking out I then informed the General manager Freddie Green about the infestation. In which he then inquired weather I had a corporate discount . I stated that it shouldn't matter . Another guest in room 202 also was there and complain of roaches . Then Mr Green stated to me that he was inform of the problem and all hotels has roaches and bedbugs. Then stated that he advised Mike to comp the room. Then told me that I had to get my refund from corporate. Knowing this hotel is franchised. Then when i asked for corporate number he refused to provide it. So I could leave the premises he gave me a fake receipt as if he comp my room.. Worst place to stay ."

"Since Wednesday, November 23rd, I have had nothing but problems. As you see on the 3rd floor, 2 large ice machines, one was Unplung and the other large ice machine did not work. I was informed by an employee the manager knows the ice machine does not work and will do nothing about it. lt's an inconvenience to always have to go to the 2nd floor to get ice. Ask for a clean face towel and medium-sized towel, trash bag, and toilet paper at the front desk. Friday 24th , around 2pm informed we probably had the items in our room by cleaning staff. We did not and no cleaning staff on the floor. I called and informed the employee, at the front desk we did not have any items was informed, by employee l will bring items up. He never did not bring the items up UGH. The next day see cleaning employee of course didn't seem to understand English and act like didn't want to give clean face rags, medium-sized rags. The TV the control we all thought it was the battery, the staff brought new batteries, it would trun the TV on or off, had to keep using other TV controller from other TV so we only had one tv controller . The elevator on the 3rd floor it was shaking and the another time the phone in the elevator was ringing. I told my house this hotel was like the Twilight Zone. For the amount of days we visited from Ohio, there were too many problems for the amount of money we paid at 2122 Joliff Road. Chesapeake, VA 23321. Will never stay at this hotel one again next time we visit. Looking forward to checking out on Sunday the 26th. Put of this hotel."

"Let me start with I did not select this hotel to stay based on the previous reviews. My family is staying here for Thanksgiving week. The lobby was fine but there was a slight smell. The room is surface level clean but baseboards were dirty and rust in the bathtub. Could definitely use some deep cleaning. My main reason for a poor review is that after returning from a long day with the family, my door was not closed all of the way. Nothing was removed that I can tell but there were fresh towels which let me know housekeeping was there. The woman at the front desk was very nonchalant about it and tried to chalk it up to just a mistake by housekeeping. I said it was a mistake that cannot happen again. She said, well it was an accident so I can’t promise it won’t happen again. That was a poor response and probably won’t get addressed. I will not stay here again! UPDATE: The General Manager, Freddie, was so apologetic, professional and understanding that I have to update my review for Service. There were no additional issues for the remainder of my stay."

"The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, nothing in the room worked properly. Both TV's, bathroom vanity light, refrigerator, ice machine. Up close view of Appalachia. Place needs serious renovation. Breakfast and staff were fine. Girl at the front desk couldn't stop her cell call during check in. Facility had trash everywhere. AND why is the pool closed for renovation at every darn Fairfield in the USA?"

"The hotel looks dated. Hot breakfast food was terrible and tasteless. The pool is dirty, the water cold and the jets not working making the pool water stagnant. The pool drying towel was not maintained and almost ran out. Only three towels were left. The BBQ grill is broken, missing the propane tank, and the picnic table and grill are far away from the hotel premises."
