Belmont on Broad Apartments

"The Belmont is a good apartment building. The apartments themselves are modern and spacious. The same goes for the facilities, the gym, pool, common areas are all well kept. The dog park could be better maintained but in general it is still usable. Maintenance is incredibly kind and responsive. As well, the community is really great and full of good people. My biggest frustration falls with management, parking, and trash. Management is very noncommunicative and generally not helpful after moving in. The complex has had a series of car break ins to the point of regularity and management will not put up cameras. They did not communicate pool hours or when it closed for the summer. When touring I was shown an outdoor fireplace only to find out upon moving in that it doesn't work and as far as I know they have not made efforts to repair. As well, parking is very limited and management does not appear to be working on solutions for this. Lastly, the ONLY trash bin for the entire complex is very far from the majority of the apartments. There is no trash service so it is very inconvenient to carry trash so far. These are not unlivable problems however with the cost of living and having paid for some of the amenities, you do expect them to work or be accessible. I do believe for the cost - there are apartments apartments of the same quality (if not better) for the same or better rate."

"The apartment complex is beautiful, clean, safe and offers great amenities. Cody and the team here has been amazing. Cody made the move in process so easy and less stressful. He even reached out with a better apartment option for the move time frame I needed. The common areas are always clean and we're maintain. The apartments are so comfortable with great layout. I'm very excited I choose Belmont on Broad Apartment as my new HOME. Definitely recommend."

"This review is severely past due! I toured this complex last summer and the leasing agent was amazing! I was under a tight time line to find a new place as I had just changed my mind about leaving the RVA area. Upon first interaction, he told me that I had made it to the right place and to cancel all my tours I had scheduled after him. He was right and spot on, I ended up doing an application same day and was approved very quickly! The entire process was easy from start to finish. The application was very easy and I was able to upload all of my documents online. Move day was very seamless and easy. The leasing agent, management and the maintenance staff have been amazing since Day 1. It is located in a very nice area in Richmond, VA (Scott's Addition) and is very central to everything in the city. The property is quiet and always clean. The young lady that cleans the building I live in is hands down amazing! She's always at work, because I can tell by the amazing smell of our building. The biggest issue that I have had is other cars parking in my reserved spot. I can say parking seems to be a little tight around the complex. However, their is a tow company who will tow for you. I can't blame the complex for someone else parking in my reserved spot. Depending on what building you live in, parking varies and differs per building. The amenity space is AMAZING!!! Hands down, the best in RVA and I honestly think what sold me on the complex! I love using the meeting space and have hosted my friends in the area. It's very convenient to host friends/events. Package delivery is a breeze with the amazon lockers as you receive an email when you have a package with a code. I am honestly bummed about not being able to renew my lease, but it has nothing to do with the complex or management. I am relocating out of the Richmond, VA area and will miss the complex. If you're looking for a place in Richmond, I would encourage you to lease here! They are amazing!"

"I've lived at Belmont on Broad for eight months or so, and it's a fantastic apartment complex. The apartments themselves are brand new, with great storage space in closets and the kitchen area. Generally speaking, the only noise I hear from neighbors is heavy walking on the floor above me. So if that bothers you, I'd recommend a top (4th) floor apartment. But, overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience! The leasing office and maintenance staff are fantastic, no bones about it. Rebekah, Cody, and the rest of the staff are always friendly and incredibly helpful. Maintenance requests never take more than 24 hours to complete, and the grounds/complex are immaculately cleaned and maintained. It's also gated, which seems to be a bit unusual in this area, and the location in terms of access to Scott's Addition and downtown historic Richmond is perfect. For full disclosure, I don't have the same problems with parking that many other residents have reported, because I pay an additional fee to have a spot in the garage. It's true that the parking lot is not as large as it probably should be, and there isn't any provision for guest parking available. However, there is a side road included in the complex where many residents have decided to park. It's included in the gated area of the complex, so I think it's important to know that even though there aren't enough parking spots in the lot, there is always somewhere to park in the complex itself. And, ultimately, if parking is a priority for you then try to get an apartment in building 1, as their rent includes a reserved spot. Overall, I'd move here again in a heartbeat!"

"My spouse and I just moved in from Chicago as we relocated for work. We did not get to see the place in person beforehand, but we toured virtually and loved it. When we arrived on move in day we were happily surprised! The place is better than expected. Our apartment is bright and brand new. The hallways are immaculate. The amenities are great. I love being some of the first residents as well as it still feels relatively private. We can’t wait to use the pool this summer and enjoy all Belmont has to offer!
