Brandon West Apartments

"Very affordable, great location, and maintenance was very responsive with any issues! I lived here from 2017 - 2019. The buildings are older, but well maintained. My apartment did not have a washer and dryer, but the laundry facilities in each building were usually available when I needed them. I enjoyed the pool and the children enjoyed the playground. Always clean. I was in the middle, on the ground floor from the back, with someone below me and above me. I did hear my neighbor walking around occasionally above me, but that's hard to avoid in any apartment. The neighbors were quiet overall. If you're looking for affordable, but good quality and safe, then this is it!"

"The apartments are cheap but they are not good, the electricity bill is very expensive, I do not cook much and I pay almost 200 dollars for electricity, you cannot be in the living room in cold weather because the doors do not work, you can feel the cold , if you don't like the noise here it's not a good place to live, you hear all the noise around you, when the person who lives above your apartment walks you hear their footsteps, you can't sleep it's horrible, when you walk you can hear the cracking on the floor. Horrible place to live. After I made this first comment, my husband and I went to say that we were going to move to another place because she did not accept that I lived here for my credit,They supposedly denied me to live here because of my credit, so I decided to come and live in West Virginia, but they said I have to pay $1,000 to cancel my contract, what kind of people are they, very bad, if they didn't accept me, why are they charging that money, lousy place, I don't recommend it to anyone"

"On the good side, maintenance guy was fast fixing the shades and oven when I moved in, and the manager is helpful and polite. However, the floors squeak like CRAZY .I can hear the sound of my upper-neighbor walking through the ceiling VERY loudly. I didn't hear it before I signed the lease. Make sure you get the top floor unless you want to hear that. They don't bother fixing damage here, they just paint over it or leave it."

"I've lived here many years and am quite happy here. It is a great location with easy access to shopping and food, and not too far from downtown Roanoke OR Salem. Any sort of maintenance issues are always taken care of in a very timely manner, and always to my satisfaction. The staff here are super helpful and friendly and great to work with. All that, and the price is right. I have good neighbors who have also lived here for several years, so it is a stable place to live. I like it here."

"I have lived here at Brandon West on 2 separate occasions in different years. I have never had any issues with Margaret or any maintenance issues that I have had which have not been many at all. Margaret has always been kind, respectful, easy to work with and if I have gotten paid after the 5th of month, she has always worked with me on my rent. Brandon West is a good complex for the price and for the side of town that it is on. I personally have good neighbors on my floor and and actually in my whole building. I have enjoyed living here on both occasions, hence why I came back to live here again! As long as you pay your rent every month as normal people do, you will not have any problems. No matter where you live, no one can live anywhere for free. Get up, go to work, get a job, keep a job and you can have a place and things in life, period!!!!"
