Hampton Inn Roanoke/Hollins-I-81

"The rooms were not cleaned well, the front desk when we got there were very un professional but the lady at night was so sweet though! The hotel needs some love though, security camera wasn’t attached to the ceiling but half way, panels in the elevators were coming off as well. I thought 160 was very expensive for one night stay and for the lack of it being clean."

"We checked in after 11:00 pm , we were tired and the lady who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Very good stay and I highly recommend this place.. I have to add, I love the shampoo, conditioner , and soap line. I never usually use these things in places I stay, but I wish I had this at home for myself.."

"I am SO glad I stayed here and ignored some of these bad reviews. I stayed here on New Year’s Day, and could not have been happier. From the woman who was working the front desk when I checked in (wish I had gotten her name - she had red hair and was so nice and welcoming) to my spotlessly clean room and peaceful night’s sleep, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location is great, right off of I-81. Also, for people traveling alone, sometimes hotels are on weird side streets that can feel a little sketchy - this one isn’t. It’s right on the main road you exit on, well lit, and feels very safe. I think the construction some people have mentioned is done because my room seemed newly renovated and I saw no signs of construction. Plenty of restaurants and a CVS nearby. Breakfast in the morning was great - standard cereals, bagels, muffins, etc., as well as eggs, sausage, and a Belgian waffle station. This was a perfect halfway point on my trip home from seeing my family for the holidays, and I won’t hesitate to stay here again as I make this trip at least 4 times a year. My pup wasn’t with me this time, but an added bonus knowing they are also pet friendly. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Roanoke area and near the highway, stop. Stay here. You won’t regret it. (Also, didn’t use them, but the pool and gym looked nice.)"

"Wonderful, friendly service from smiling faces checking in and out with complimentary water and coffee was nice! The room/bathroom was clean and spacious! Bed was soft yet supportive/firm, perfect for us! Breakfast was delicious! Heard several people talk about the mini Belgium waffles and bacon, definitely the best part while the scones and bagels were good too!"

"The outside and lobby are a bit shabby, but the rooms have been recently updated and were clean and comfortable. The little gym was well equipped with relatively new dumbells, mats, bands, and 2 two treadmills. The parking is somewhat chaotic. The staff were friendly and helpful."
