Coastal Hotel & Suites Virginia Beach - Oceanfront 2015 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

"Weve been coming here the past 2 years and we like it! The room is a little eh, but the view is great. We usually come in the winter so the boardwalk lights are up and its great to watch from the balcony at night. The beds are meh and they dont give you enough pillows. The couch is dreadful to sit on due to no pillows. But the location is amazing. So many restaurants around its great. The parking is easy as well. All and all I recommend coming in the winter at least, its good!"

"The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Beautiful view of the beach. Off season so it didn't break the bank. Every staff person we encountered starting with Aja at check in had a smile and were kind and courteous. Breakfast was very good. This is a place that we'd be happy to return to."

"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. The staff were super friendly. The housekeeper would arrange my kids stuffed animals differently every day she made the bed. My kids absolutely loved it! The hotel is located pretty much in the middle of everything, so it's walking distance from most things. The free breakfast was good. They mixed up the main dish everyday. The indoor pool was a little cold, but I think it's because they were having problems with the heater. They got it fixed shortly after we arrived. My family and I agreed to staying here next time we come to Virginia Beach."

"We had a few issues during our stay. To start… of the staff are wonderful. There was one or two that weren’t as friendly/helpful. The AC didn’t work about half the time in our room. The hallways were extremely uncomfortable and hot. Someone came to look at the AC in our room and their only answer was don’t go in and out on the balcony as much. We didn’t. The AC doesn’t balance at all between the front and back area of the room. The back room was freezing while the front room was hot constantly. Also, there was water leaking into our room we believe from the room next door constantly. The first time we noticed it, we tried to call the front desk and there wasn’t an answer. We also mentioned it on another day to a cleaning person in passing. Because we were busy enjoying the beach we just dealt with it after that. And this was definitely a leak from somewhere as we had to use tons of towels to soak up the water. Also, the hot tub in the pool area didn’t work for half of our stay. Lastly, the hotel breakfast was not great. The staff kept it very clean & the staff were very friendly, but the quality is just not there. Hotels in general need to do better with the quality of food they’re serving. And this one was no different as some of the food being served is simply not edible. The hotel itself is kept very clean, and most of the staff are great (not all, but we won’t point them out) I just wish these other issues were not present and/or taken care of during our stay for it to have been great. Things like the AC & amenities working and having better quality food available can make or break a stay."
