Reviews of Boardwalk Resort and Villas
"Misleading! The room we booked was listed as a suite with two queen bedrooms. It was actually two separate rooms with a locked door & little "hall" connecting them (and with double beds, not queen). We thought the one room smelled a bit like marijuana. And then when we came back from the beach, the 6th floor absolutely smelled of marijuana. We called the front desk to let them know, which they said, "Okay, thanks." The beds were clean, and the kitchen was overall clean, but the paper towels in the one room were dirty on top of them. The sunrise over the ocean was beautiful, and we tried to make the best of the situation but ended up leaving our stay early."
"The room has NO hot water, constant banging and beeping from vending machines. Nice view but when you not able to take hot shower in January nothing is comfortable. Called front desk, they told me run the water until it’s hot, interesting solution to a heating problem. And when you confront them about it, they just look at you and apologize. I do not need apology, I need a hot shower. However, after a discussion they at least compensated me back partly for the room."
"Omg this hotel is like a hidden gem! The rooms are so big and come with a kitchenette. When I walked in, I thought I was just getting a bed but nope! Got the whole deal and the views are so amazing!! That was the best part! Also the staff members were all very helpful and you could even text them if you needed anything. Great place, totally recommend!"
"My hubby, our 17 month old, and I stayed in room 708, a one bedroom suite. Room provide ample space and was clean. It’s tiled floors throughout the room, which is nice. Nice views from our balcony. The indoor heated pool (4 ft max deep) was great to play in while it was raining outside. Customer service was nice and accommodating. Parking in their garage was easy. Great benefit of having modern clothes washer and dryer on premises for laundry. Note, there’s a resort fee of $25/day that we paid when we checked in that wasn’t included in our third party booking. We were fine with it because we got a great deal staying there. It has direct beach access, including a yard hydrant outside to wash our sandy feet before coming inside. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Recommend this resort."
"We loved our stay at Boardwalk Resort and Villas. The front desk and concierge were very friendly and welcoming. Very clean and updated. We would not really consider staying here again though, because it's pricey to stay with nothing included. They do charge an amenity fee and also take a pretty large deposit fee that they return unless you destroy their room for any reason. It was in the description when we were booking the room, but I still think its ridiculous to charge for using their pool, recreational areas, parking, and any other amenities they offer. So the $200 we paid for a tiny studio like room with barely a view was literally just for the room and nothing else. Staying at other chain hotels at least have free breakfast and parking or something like that, which would be more worth it, not to mention larger rooms and better views. It was really a 50/50 for me with the experience here. The location was amazing though. Shops and restaurants all at walking distance. Everything including the entrance to the beachfront was super convenient!"
