"Once, years ago, 1960's, this was a semi high end housing location. I was a guest in an apartment occupied by a local lawyer. It had a bridge over the pool to his front door, which had beautiful gold Chinese characters on it. Inside was tastefully decorated with carved Chinese relics and furmiture. This landmark complex was an accomplishment of the Batlas family, local entrepreneurs. Lately is has become somewhat run down looking , driveway full of pot holes. Some of the brickwork cracking. Some time ago, I heard there were plans drawn up to renovate the units to a more modern aesthetic look by a local, well known, architectural group. (Mills). Project apparently on hold ."
"I used to pay more than 190$ for utility It is unfair One time the electricity underneath my apartment burned and I suffocated badly, spent 3 days recovering from smoke poisoning There was electricity technical issue that was never fixed during all my lease time and that took alot of money for a mistake that can be fixed I used to pay 700$ + 190$ = 890$ I could live somewhere else better and safer"
