"Front desk associates were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a quiet night and enjoyed a good breakfast."
"We stayed at this location to visit family and we were there for 3 nights. The staff was friendly but not very good at their jobs when it came to cleaning the hotel. The hallway was never vacuumed the entire time we were there and they didn't have time to make up our room or give us fresh towels because they said they were too busy getting ready for the influx of visitors for the Christmas weekend. We will not be staying at this location in the future."
"So, the elevator (especially the door opening and closing) is quite noisy, which makes for a rather bothersome experience for all rooms anywhere near the elevator on every floor. The rooms and bathrooms lack any hooks to hang toiletry bags or towels. The TVs don't swivel and aren't wall-mounted, so you can either move the entire TV to an odd corner spot on the far away dresser or watch at a very weird angle. With low-resolution cable TV being the only offering and the old-style channel guide on one specific channel, it's a tough ask for the viewing experience anyway. A smart TV with streaming services or at least the ability to cast from a phone would make a huge difference here. Please!! I have no idea why hotels aren't leading the way with cord cutting. The cable offerings are a huge expense for hotels and provide little to no value to travelers any more. It's not 1990. All travelers need is a screen to view. If hotels want to go upscale and provide room details and checkout options, that can be handled with an app (that casts to the TV). A true win-win for the hotel and guests. Replacing the archaic TVs with the requisite cable TV experience is a must. The outlets in the bathroom kept tripping the GFCIs and the bed spreads and blanket had a very commercial, rough feel to them. Relatively speaking, the bath towels were small and not very plush. One bright spot is the included (for everyone) breakfast buffet. It provided us with a good variety of options to get the day started with sustenance. Speaking of food, etc., because it was near the holidays, they even boosted the welcome cookie station (the fresh-baked onsite chocolate chip cookies are HEAVENLY!!!!) with a DIY hot chocolate option and Hershey Kisses. Very nicely done for both the free buffet and welcome station!!!!! The place was clean, but looks like they'd had a somewhat recent remodel by a crew that had no concern for details and finishing off the job properly. Painted areas being missed, tiles and fixtures being placed askew and no trim in place at the edges, just a rough bead of non-color-matched caulk for many edges. Low quality execution which ruins the huge expense of the capital investment to make improvements. The hotel staff were all very pleasant. Overall, it was a very uneven experience. It wouldn't take a lot of expense to make the in-room experience much better and make ppl want to return here. If it's the only hotel available, yeah we'd come back, but with lowered expectations."
"1.). Service and Hospitality was not as good this time as in the past. The new front desk staff are young and rude. 2.). The breakfast crew were as good as in the past. They were excellent. 3.). Management needs to educate their new front desk staff on courtesy and politeness, especially with regular and repeat customers."
"We stayed at this location for business this week. We had booked 2 rooms for 1 night. Our work in the area carried over to the next day so I had to book 1 room for 1 extra night. We checked into the room about 515PM, dropped our bags washed our hands and went to get dinner. While at dinner my business partner received a call that his wife was headed to the ER and needed to head home immediately. We went back to the hotel to ask about canceling the room about 645. (1.5 hours) The person at the desk said she couldn't approve that with a refund but she would call her boss. The situation was explained and essentially were we told sorry about your luck, still would be charged for the stay. We would have been glad to pay a cleaning fee for cleaning the bathroom sink and replacing 1 hand towel. We literally never even sat on the bed or even in the chair in the room. A little background I had been an IHG rewards partner for around 15 years and my business partner had been a member for over 20 years. We felt the request was reasonable for the situation and the cold, non-caring, dismissing comments of the manager/GM was pretty insulting to us while my business partners wife was laying in an ER. Needless to say, any future business travel for our team/business will go to any other hotel option no matter the extra cost. Really disappointed to be treated this way by Holiday Inn/IHG."
