"Moved out a month ago and received information about the process. Got a call a month later with conflicting information. If you can avoid staying with this company, do so by any means necessary. Employees up to management will give you conflicting information & then you are held responsible after doing what you were told."

Within the day they have shown me three different options that would work with my request. By the end of the week, I had my keys and was moving in to my affordable lease. I have spoken with at least 4 different ladies on the phone, and every single one has been helpful and efficient answering my questions or concerns. At this point in time, I cannot say anything but positive views on the entire team at Metro Property Management."

"Firstly, good luck. They have done a good job of monopolizing the Morgantown apartment market so you are nearly forced to live at one of their properties. I stayed in a two bedroom apartment for nearly two years. Never paid late, never had any issues. We spent an entire day cleaning our apartment for move out. I'm talking scrubbing the floors, polishing the fridge, and we even wiped down the deck. I will not overestimate our cleaning, there are always to going small things you miss in an apartment that large. But any type of marks or crumbs had to be incredibly irrelevant. We were expecting a full return of our deposit We were charged over $700 upon moving out, exceeding our security deposit. The rationale was photos of small, irrelevant things that would take five minutes to clean. I would understand keeping some of it, but they WILL overcharge you. They would not expand on justifying their charges. Just that "Here is a mark on the wall, and it took us $440 to paint it". This does not reflect the customer service I received at the Leasing Center- they were always helpful. Maintenance was very reliable as well. But, someone, somewhere in the chain of command with move outs is making Metro Properties a lot of money with these move out fees. I have heard and read countless stories of this behavior. And, they likely will continue to get away with it unless you want to pay more than the disputed charge just to go court, which most people do not have the time or money to do. I highly advise finding somewhere else to live, if possible."

"Moved across country into a brand new build apartment and I had to scrub my new apartment before being able to move my stuff in. Urine all over the toilets, kitchen sink clogged, vent hanging from the ceiling, dry wall dust everywhere. Not a single care from the Leasing office, and clearly nobody looked over the apartment before I moved in. Of the numerous staff members I've interacted with - I can say only one of them I actually felt like cared. Leasing office doesn't want to work with tenets nor care about you. Super strict and unreasonable rules. (I'm a grown adult and can't light a candle). The apartment complex itself was nice but Metro was stressful to rent from and I would never recommend them."
