Waterside at Reston Apartments 12016 Waterside View Drive, Reston, VA 20194

"This complex is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is wonderful-- north Reston, close to 267, FFX County Pkwy, Reston Town Center, etc. It's off a quiet street and right by Cameron Pond and a play ground. The apartments themselves are older (this place was built in 1985) and they definitely show signs of wear and tear. Renovations have been done to many of the units, but that said-- the apartments are still nearly 40 years old and many of them have been cheap fixes. There are a ton of dogs in this complex with some very inconsiderate owners, too. We have a neighbor who consistently walks her dog in front of our unit and lets him squat about three feet from our patio (we're on the first floor) and half of the time, doesn't bother to clean it up. For the Reston area, it's certainly one of the more affordable options, however, I think your money is better spent elsewhere."

"I would give this rental agency negative or 0 stars for unethical business practices! They forced me to choose another apartment. I applied for a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit a week ago in Oct 2023 and was set to move in couple of days. I was excited and packed and ready to go! I paid a reservation fee to hold the unit AND signed a lease! But today exactly 2 days before move in they sent an email and said they can’t give me the unit which I signed for and approved also and suddenly they sent out an email mail to me and asked me if I want to rent a another unit for a higher price! This is illegal. I would not recommend applying here or renting here. I can’t imagine what other unethical practices these people have done to others. How awful. Top of they said all lies about the unit that they want to do some work and all but when I went in and checked it there was nothing to do even the manger accepted that she lied to me about the work to be done. Really is this kind of business they are doing here . Haven’t seen such kind of manger or management. I thought of taking legal action but they removed all the signed documents from their website."

"I would give this rental agency 0 stars for unethical business practices! They tried to bait and switch me. I applied for a 1 bedroom unit in MAY 2023 and was set to move at the end of August. I was excited and packed and ready to go! I paid a reservation fee to hold the unit AND signed a lease! 2 weeks before move in they call and say they have given my unit away and they ask if I want to rent a unit for a higher price! This is illegal. I would not recommend applying here or renting here. I can’t imagine what other unethical practices these people have done to others. How awful."
