"Be VERY careful. They bait and switch here. Ali is VERY deceitful. He will promise you a flexible application and push you to put a holding fee down that he claims to be “easily transferrable to any other unit”. oh and even better yet, he will “quote you and transfer the price of that pre quoted amount to any other unit!” What a nice guy!…until all of a sudden he doesn’t show up to your appointment where you drive 2 hours to sign a lease. Ghost you for two days and POOF “sorry the unit is now unavailable! The previous tenants decided to stay!”. Don’t worry tho! There are other units but they will be significantly more expensive. The temp (who claims she is just basically a body there with no access to keys/ the system) will complain to you about their own upper management (what a great sign huh). Through reading the reviews they seem to have switched management to a very unethical one. Ali barely lets get a word in also …too busy trying to manipulate you I guess. Still haven’t received my holding fee back either. Attached proof I was quoted a price that was later fully switched on me. Will be reporting them to Virginia Fair Housing because this is very illegal. They made us lose a whole month of looking for another place to live in order to bait and switch us to a more expensive unit."

"It was time to downsize, so we set off in search of a two bedroom apartment. We love Reston so we were reluctant to leave, but none of the rentals we saw worked for us until we found J Harbor Park. We found it on a Friday; the movers were coming NEXT Friday! Nabile and Tom went out of their way to expedite our application, and we moved in on schedule.We love the apartment - bright, airy, very comfortable, very responsive maintenance for minor fixes by Carlos. Lots of amenities, friendly neighbors. Very pleased it all worked out through management’s efforts."

"Drove down from New York (5.5 hours+) to view the community but unfortunately the leasing agent decided the night prior to our appointment they would rather take the day off. I would have loved to see the shared spaces and community amenities but that wasn't possible. Instead, we followed directions left for us that were taped to the door of the leasing office. A drawn map directed us to an unlocked unit, which was not the same floorplan or size that we were interested in. The unit was not in good condition, with hair and dust from the previous tenant everywhere. The appliances were run down and dirty. There was painters tape left on half the molding in the apartment from unfinished work. The workers left half-filled beverages on the counters. The unit was also unrenovated, which did not fit our stated preferences. You can't pretend to care about your existing residents if you won't honor a simple fifteen minute appointment with a potential new resident, especially one you knew was travelling from such a long distance. Disrespectful of me, my partner and our time. Hard pass."

"Mold and bug infested apartments. Ever since Jefferson Apartment Group took over management, things have become awful. Simply put they just don't care about you or the apartments. You can tell by just walking around the neighborhood seeing all the trash on the ground, broken garage doors, lack of a maintenance staff (1 guy). They close maintenance tickets when no work has been done on them. Trying to get anything fixed is like pulling teeth. My AC broke a month ago and they have yet to fix it. I had to buy my own AC window unit and install it as they weren't going to fix it. Been here for little over 3 years. I used to love living here, it was such a nice place in a beautiful area of town but after dealing with Jefferson Apartment Group and the staff I can't anymore. I want to warn others when they look at apartments here. Look somewhere else!"
