"Man.. I have to walk all the way to the front of the camp just to use the porta potty there. But there was a lot of room for tents so I’ll give you credit for that."
"Perfect spot to take your local kid camping for the first time. Online signup is easy. Each site has firewood, water, toilets, tables, fire-ring, close parking, charcoal grill & is out of sight and earshot of other sites. For local residents only, maintained by local girl scouts, & well run by the County govt."
"I had a very pleasant experience making a reservation over the phone, and my group was really pleased with the site when we arrived! Everything was clean, port-o-potty was readily accessible, and there was even a stack of firewood available for guests to use. The noise from the highway didn’t bother us as we hung out around the bonfire. The only tricky thing was finding the our way in—Google Maps tried to tell us we could get into the park through a nearby shopping center when the entrance is on Tuckerman road! Be sure to clean up after yourself while enjoying the park so that future visitors can enjoy it too!"
"People are using this campground as a dog park. They will not pick dog poop. You can see it all over. They will even not use leash when trail marker clearly says dog should always be on leash. I never see any park ranger here. People will bring their dogs to train here and dog will scare badly other trail users. Otherwise I like to keep coming again."
"I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Apparently, only county residents can reserve spots...which is UNAMERICAN! Do yourself a favor and go six miles down the road to the C&O. It's free and you don't have to be around people who think they're better than you."
