"Great place to stay while we visited family in Squirrel Hill section of Pittsburgh. A few details in the decor need attention, curtains off hooks, stained carpet. But this place is currently undergoing renovation, so we can live with it until they are done. Otherwise it's a five star, with outstanding location, amazing breakfast buffet and other amenities that make this a great place to stay."
"Arrived at 11:45pm to find this unhygienic, shabby room! Clipped toenails from previous guest on floor next to bed - clearly unvaccumed as also evident by silver wrapper on ground. Furniture stained, threadbare and damaged. Shower moldy. Hotel had 100% occupancy rate but only ONE staff on site - the receptionist - who left the front desk and came w a vacuum cleaner to at least clean up the toenails! She was really helpful and stayed polite even though this was none of her doing! Still we left in disgust and found another hotel. This is a sordid way of dealing w repeat customers Hampton Inn chain! Dated is one thing. This quite another! Waiting for a full refund!"
"Absolutely beautiful views. The service was excellent. I was somewhat disheartened by having one elevator for staff and patrons. It definitely increased our wait time in enjoying everything that was offered. Breakfast was truly enjoyed by our family members. I would like to have seen at least one gluten-free option and perhaps also one dairy free option for coffee or just to drink. Staff was very cordial and very helpful with linens, directions, and also servicing our bathtub. We enjoyed our stay in Pittsburgh!"
"Floors had clearly never been vacuumed, mold in the shower, liquids splattered on the walls in the room from previous guests. The door to our room wouldn't open unless we threw our whole bodies into it. Only one elevator working which was very slow. Breakfast was bland and not many options. Pool was kind of dirty. But I will say the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Not worth the price though."
