James was so accommodating as I'm a new golfer he had me so relaxed while hitting the driver as he took time to explain what he saw, how I could correct and why he was recommending the club he did. It was so refreshing to be treated so nicely and the in depth explanation along with advice James provided. "Scheduled a fitting and was taken care of from the start! Communication was fantastic to confirm my appointment all the way up until the day. When I arrived, I was greeted and asked if I needed any water and whom I was there to see. Doug McIlvain came to the front and introduce himself as my fitter immediately upon my arrival. He walked me back to the bay we used to get warmed up and take my measurements. After warming up with my own clubs, Doug answered all of my questions and asked his own about my game. Doug was very easy to get along with and helped me feel very comfortable in a situation that could be very intimidating. He was able to use the measurements provided by the state of the art equipment to provide some suggestions on irons that may be more my speed and be forgiving to my inaccurate swing. My words, not his! We tried 3 different products with different aspects to each in order to narrow down my comfort and accuracy. I feel Doug went above and beyond during my visit in an effort to provide me with a great experience. Upon my request, and as a visual learner, Doug was nice enough and stepped into the bay, gave pointers and even took a couple of swings to show me differences in swings, and how the clubs reacted. Once we got through all of the irons, he took the time to explain the changes we made and asked which clubs I felt most comfortable with, showing me the science behind my selection and why it was the right one. Doug was keen to my spending window and kept me within my monetary limits even providing a ton of help with choosing a new putter as well. I must say that he was very knowledgeable of the game, patient with my questions and also able to provide exemplary assistance in every aspect of my visit. I was, and am, very pleased with his service, expertise and friendly approach since it is hard to come by these days. I highly recommend Doug McIlvain for any of your golf needs. I was able to obtain Mint quality, last year model irons and a new putter for a significant discount at 2nd swing."
