"Absolutely charming house in a beautiful area. We are just passing through for the night and are in “off-season” so it’s cold and wet outside but warm and inviting inside with a stone fireplace! It’s right on the Youghiogheny River which I had never heard of but they had books on along with many other good reads, I wish I could stay for a week and just sit by the fireplace and read! One of the owners is an incredibly talented potter and has her pieces displayed for sale which I was so excited to find after I told my fiancé we had to have one of her mugs after seeing them in the kitchen. The train going through is relaxing and not loud with all the insulation which I was nervous about when I saw how close we were to the tracks, overall a great stay!"
"The owners and keeper of the house is a super friendly guy. And you're bound to meet other nice lodgers to chat with in the evening or during a meal."
"Stayed two nights October 23 and 24th. The place was beautiful and very clean. Dan was very helpful and we would love to go back again! It was peaceful except when the train went by and we were able to ride to the GAP trail!"
"What a fantastic spot to spend the night. Right near the river and the house and grounds are kept extremely well. The bed was comfortable and the bath was great as well. Not a full breakfast but had good Continental offerings. They make pottery and offer it for sale."
"Robin and Dan are fantastic hosts. The place is beautiful and very quaint. One issue is the trains are loud. My room windows faced the tracks, so the trains going by kept waking me up at night. Robin was fantastic about accommodating me when I had to cancel our trip on two separate occasions, and the place is so nice that if I am ever going to be back in that area I will be inquiring about a room not facing the CSX train tracks. The serve yourself continental style breakfast was very nice and upscale, with several quality selections to choose from."
