"The counselors rarely care about my problems they listen and give good advice my counselor and I Have a good relationship I talk about things that I can’t talk about with anyone else that’s why it’s so good"
"Renata is a wonderful and major support of mine. I always look forward to our sessions in good times and bad. Very kind, compassionate, and helpful."
"Would not recommend. I don't know where to begin here. I got referenced here by my doctor who believe I might be dealing with bi polar disorder, which cannot be treated the same as anxiety and depression. I was sent here for a diagnoses. The receptionist was very very nice and understanding. I feel bad for no showing the 2nd appointment. Just the 1st appointment left a bad taste in my mouth. The "psychiatrist" was rude and shot out questions way too fast. I told her I had a history of alcohol abuse over the pass few years but i massively cut down to somewhere between 12oz-36oz a week now I recorded the session on my phone capturing all the audio. She called me a LIAR and said I wasn't being honest about my drinking habits. I listened to the recording back and I WAS ACCURATE AND DID NOT LIE, WHICHEVER DATES I WAS NOT POSITIVE ABOUT I GAVE A ROIGH ESTIMATE AND NOT A SOLID ANSWER. What was expected to be an hour session was juts 20 minutes (given i was 8 minutes late) I listened to the recording g a few times over and wrote it down, she really called me a liar. She ended the session fast, told me to come back in 2 weeks when I have limited alcohol in my system. I still got charged for the whole hour.... not to mention I am now clean 50 days AND I STILL FEEL THE SAME. I haven't gotten drunk since February but now I haven't even had a sip. Some people aren't meant to work in this field,, you can be smart enough to get through the school but doesn't mean you can be a psychiatrist ."
"I would not give this practice and staff any rating. Awful quality of service. My son was a patient of CT Behavioral Health/George Costanzo. My son suffered from major depressive disorder. Neither Costanzo or his staff were empathetic and very short with my son as well as myself. Just recently, my son passed away and actually passed away on the evening he was scheduled to have a telehealth session with Costanzo. Costanzo left a very harsh message on my son's voice mail only concerned about my son missing his appointment. During my son's hardest struggles, Costanzo was not helpful or responsive. I attempted to reach Costanzo to inform him of my son's passing through CT Behavioral Health and was received by a receptionist who was confrontational and would not even take a message because I was not the actual patient. Mind you, I was grieving the loss of my son simply trying to convey my son's passing. The receptionist was very unsympathetic and refused to take a message. I reached out to Costanzo's private practice where I understood a message would be left for Costanzo to call me back. I have yet to receive a call back from Costanzo. During this difficult time of grief, mental health practitioners such as Costanzo (as well as supporting staff) should demonstrate more empathy. I did not feel this once from CT Behavioral Health staff or Costanzo and neither did my son. Listening to Costanzo's cold message to my son on the day he passed was hurtful. It was more hurtful to be received by such a cold receptionist who clearly needs more training. It is unfortunate and people like this (Costanzo and CT Behavioral Health Staff) should not be servicing people with mental health issues. No amount of educational degrees will help in this type of field if you cannot even show any type of empathy/sympathy."
