"We have an amazing vet clinic where we are from, so I may be coming from unrealistic expectations. We recently moved and are looking for a new vet. Making an appt with VAW was easy enough. I was glad they had an appt within two weeks, unlike other places. They charge a deposit (I believe it's the full cost of a checkup) upfront for the service, which I reluctantly agreed to because I have a disability and can be forgetful and subjected to migraines. On the day of the appt, I felt one coming on, so I took some meds and took a nap, hoping I wouldn't have to cancel because it was already within the 24-hour cancellation, and my pup needed this appt. I overslept and called to let them know and reschedule. They didn't mention the $70 fee on this call. At the next appt, they did charge me for the missed appt. I was told that unless you call a couple of hours or more ahead of time with a reason that meets their exception, you'll be charged... So know that going in. Regarding the appt, again, with my disability and being worried about my puppers, I was anxious and stressed. I don't blame the staff for not understanding as it takes an experienced person to deal with stressed customers. Rather than allay the stress, they added to it. The person that saw my pup, I assume, was a vet. It felt like more of an appt with a vet tech. Though they were friendlier than everyone we'd met up to that point. When going for regular checkups, etc., I don't mind meeting with a vet tech; however, when I'm going in for an eye issue, I prefer meeting with the vet. The person we met said they needed to seek an opinion from the vet (or owner?) and a vet specializing in eye issues and did get back to me promptly. Overall, it wasn't a great experience, and we won't be going back. Also, no military discounts."

"Are you being over charged ? Afraid that your Dog would be treated badly,not sure if you would get the perfect cut you want your pet to have. Please believe me when i say i do not know these ppl to lie for them But if you wanna make you pet happy because you love em bring them here asap And save money at the same time and be sure to tell your family or friends to bring their pet here too because you love them. Everyone needs love and you will love this place too. Trust me"

"I can't complain. My Ginger has been going here almost 3 yrs. Which I think she is due for something...... Ginger had puppies a few months back and they got their first check-ups and shots here, and I love how thorough and patient they were checking each puppy taking there time ad not rushing through to check all 6. I would recommend as I have a few time when I get asked where do I go."
