"Very cute rooms, cool old hotel. Windows don’t open even a crack and there was a heavy chemical smell from the cleaning products that were used before we arrived and it lingered for the whole day. Easy walking distance to everything in town."
"Fabulous hotel. So many details well thought out. Exceptionally clean and spacious. Would drive further to destination to stay in one of these hotels. Question about bath products--love them but if you read the label it says "adults only" which is a weird thing for a shampoo bottle to say. I wonder the explaination for that and if that's a loose recommedation or if there is something more to it"
"The staff was kind but poorly trained. I got the impression that all of them were first day on the job. Questions were answered with either conflicting information or misinformation. The manager was never available . And by the way, DON’T try to check in before 4:00 pm… We were overcharged but 48 hours still don’t have a resolution. No excuses for this type of service. There are many other excellent places to stay near Yale."
"We were promised, repeatedly, a special discounted rate of $210/night as part of a wedding block. When they gave us the bill at the end of our stay they up-charged us by almost $100 per night. They refused to provide a corrected invoice. In total my friends and I were overcharged by nearly $1,000. No matter how many times I call, they refuse to rectify the situation. Their manager is—conveniently—‚never in. They have lied to me at least half a dozen times at this point about a callback. Who ever heard of a hotel that steals $1,000 from wedding guests? I will never stay here again, and I strongly encourage anyone who is considering stay there to stay away. Their manager, Edouardo.Valenzuela, has been totally unhelpful. As far as I'm concerned, this hotel should be investigated for fraud."
"I spent one night at the hotel with my daughter whilst traveling in Connecticut. I love hotels with some charme d’epoque and this one suited me well. Rooms were perfect, with good matresses. I loved the lobby’s ambiance, beautifully decorated. It also is next to Yale and to lots of restaurants. I didn’t try the breakfast. Would definitely recommend it."
