"Went for dinner at Davenport on the 19th floor. In my opinion there are a lot of restaurants close by that are much better at a lower price. The meals we got were not worth the price paid, drinks from bar 19 weren't so great either."

"Me and my boyfriend had a good experience staying at Omni New Haven. We chose the hotel based on the location and liked the old charm of the building. We also got a pretty good price. Checking in was super easy and the hotel staff even gave us a list of restaurants which was very kind. We ran into some issues that were resolved (and some that weren’t worth resolving on site but should not really be issues in a 4-star hotel). They’re described in detail below. 1. Be aware that the building is old and the HVAC system is not the greatest. We walked into our room and it was 85 degrees! Thankfully the hotel gave us a fan and showed us how to open the window vents (you can’t fully open the windows). 2. Because the room was so hot there was a stinkbug in our room. Obviously not ideal. 3. I love taking baths and unfortunately the tub stopper didn’t work. By the time I wanted a bath we had been in our room for a night and I didn’t want to move so I just dealt with it. On top of that there was a lot of paint chips on the tub which again, not to be expected in a 4-star reputable hotel. Some highlights of our stay: 1. Customer service was excellent. Issues that could be addressed (like the heat) were addressed quickly and without any hassle. 2. Delicious fruit water available at the front desk. I looked forward to it every morning. 3. The restaurant is delicious and our server was excellent. Overall I would come back but the building as a whole needs some updating if they want to keep their 4-star status!"

"Carlos was such a great help! We had an early check in to prepare for my wedding day later in the afternoon! He was so kind and helpful! The room could be better. Definitely needs some upgrades. The refridgerator had a horrible stench when you opened it and our tub was clogged. Someone did come and fix the tub right away which was great. Overall the service was amazing. The room just wasnt the best in my opinion."

"We stayed at the Omni New Haven for our wedding (as well as our guests) and couldn't have been happier with the service, rooms, or location. Every staff member was so kind and generous. From our first phone call to checking out, everything was absolutely perfect. Maura was exceptionally kind and always promptly provided updates to our room block whenever we asked. She also helped my parents coordinate a brunch for the next morning. All our guests were so pleased with the beauty of the hotel, the comfort of the beds and rooms, as well as the incredible location. Many walked around the Yale campus the morning of the wedding and explored the museums. We were able to walk to our rehearsal dinner restaurant just a couple blocks away, and when we returned our guests who traveled met us at Bar 19. They had plenty of room to accommodate us both the night before and also after the wedding once we got back to the hotel. The brunch the next day was delicious, with everything you could asks for, and many guests noted how beautiful it was. All the touches were especially great, like how housekeeping cleaned our bridal suite after we got ready so we had a tidy room to come back to after the craziness of the wedding morning. We also loved the complimentary champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries when we got back- it was so nice to take a moment and soak it all in. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so wonderful!"

"Ok. So we attended a murder mystery dinner at the hotel. The woodwork is fabulous. The staff were very attentive but not stuffy. There was a Marine Corp ball going on, on the same floor as our dinner theater. It was very classy, old school class. Just beautiful. But..I did not have a stay there so I can't attest to the rooms. It's centrally located and there's some nice drinking establishments nearby. It was very clean and well kept also."
