"We were at this beach on 7/21 around 9am and got COVERED all over with little black flies that looked like gnats but the next day I had over 50 itchy bites on my arms and legs. They finally healed after about 5 days. There were no warnings posted. Bring deterrent!"

"I dont feel like this beach was a good as others in the island. There were much more shells on the beach and in the water, making walking in the surf a bit more complex. But overall we still enjoyed our time here"

"I was here in April 2023 and the beach is open. The public restroom is open, too. There’s visible devastation from Hurricane Ian on the foliage and buildings, and many businesses are closed. The beach itself is very nice and we had a great time. There was paid parking available- plenty of spots at 9:30 am on a Friday. The lot was nearly full around 1 pm."

"This is a great beach that is close to everything. Do come early, even with great parking a few blocks away, it can get filled up. Superb facilities, restrooms, shower, picnic areas and a great beach. Don’t forget to pay the machine for parking, and the rest of your day will be bliss. The next beaches with an easier time parking are a ways out from the action. I recommend this beach to everyone."
