"If you have to pay $5 per hour to park, this is the place to do it! Entire lot is covered by video monitoring, multiple drinking fountains, bottle filler and even a puppy bowl. For us humans an excellent set of clean bathrooms are at the ready. Like all things on Sanibel, there are so many warnings and signs about fines, etc. Just a quarter mile walk to the beach is easy to navigate and safe."

"Officially known as Trost Parking Lot. After we looked at the three lighthouse and the Algiers Beach area parking lots we finally found several open spots here. Just before 11 am on a non holiday Saturday. It has a very clean 4 unisex bathroom house. There is a shower post. A drinking fountain with a dog bowl attached. There is a bike rack. 5/hr is very steep but that's what it is on the island. No parking app or way to extend your time outside the parking lot."

"What to say about Tarpon Bay Road Public Beach Parking? The pro of this parking lot is that it's the closest one from the historical village and museum and restaurants in the area, and it's pretty much in the mid point of the island. Additionally, you can walk north and walk at the nature trail too, so you can use it for that too. However, it's the one you have to walk the most to get to the beach, as you pretty much have to cross the street. It doesn't have as many spots either."
