"It's currently a construction area due to the ongoing rebuilding efforts after the hurricane, the memories of its former beauty linger. The temporary inconvenience is outweighed by the anticipation of what's to come. The prior charm and scenic allure are etched in my mind, making it clear that, once completed, this place will recapture its former splendor. It may not be ideal now, but the promise of a revived and even more beautiful beach makes it worth keeping an eye on."

"We usually always go to lighthouse Beach but the traffic was unbelievable even for the height of tourist season. So we settled on the causeway which is something we've never done in the 30 years we've lived here and the experience wasn't great. The causeway is very rocky and definitely not what I'd consider a beach plus the love bugs were coming in swarms."

"Well designed. Several places along the causeway to pull off, enjoy the water picnic or just hang out. We pulled off to take some sunset pictures. There are restrooms on both sides in the middle of the causeway. Parking is a little bit of a free-for-all when it is busy. People are picnicking, sunbathing and fishing."
