Periwinkle Campground Sanibel island

"We are here for two weeks of a month long stay. We think this campground is terrific! It’s very well maintained and clean. The people are great who work here. The laundry area has a large outdoor clothes line. You just need to bring clothes pins. The beaches are in walking and bike riding distance. There are great trails to walk and bike. The beaches are gorgeous. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance. Would highly recommend!!"

"there are many good things about this park, it has a bunch of trees and water within it, riffing on the nature preservation of the island and it has an enduring group of people that return year after year. we have enjoyed our neighbors and the socialization has been a great thing. the bike path is very close and one of the beaches is about 5 minutes by bike. there are some loaner bikes onsite and rentals about 1/4 mile west on Periwinkle. restaurants are close and you are in a great location to explore the island. my friends enjoy fishing from the shore and there are boats for hire for that too although some fish from their kayaks. Ian hit hard but the park has done quite a bit to come back. still some signs left but it is full of people now (high season)."

"This is actually a mobile home park that allows RVers the opportunity to stay overnight, or for extended stays. It has an Aviary within the park that is quite amazing. It's a half mile from the beach; best to get to on a bicycle. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because there was a droning noise (maybe AC units in the permanent residences) that kept me up all night; no dogs or children allowed, and payment must be made in cash. Other than that, it's the only RV Park on the island, so it definitely has prime location going for it. Thank you to the staff!!"

"A gated RV park nestled in a very well manicured resort off of Periwinkle Way on Sanibel Island. My wife Ashley and I stayed for twelve days and nights and we loved every minute of it. Truly loved the Aviary and it stoled the show each and every day. We just had to see Peaches & Piper and Ashley couldn't go past Dusty Rose without giving her some grooming... Shower house was well kept as was the Laundry, Mail room, numerous refuge collection stations as well as recycling collectors. Each lot was spacious and had a large concrete pad for outdoor dining and cooking. It was very easy to maneuver travel trailer into assigned lot... Approximately a 20-30 minute leisurely walk to the beach or 10 minute bike ride out the back gate. This resort is located within walking distance to some very fine dining or a short cruise to anywhere on the island for your dining pleasure. We highly recommend this resort park for those who are considering a RV getaway on Sanibel."

"This place is AMAZING. So peaceful and quiet, staff is so friendly and helpful. Family owned since the 1970's...take the time to meet the owner, Dave, he's a friendly guy, willing to go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Just drive slow and check in at the gate, and you will have zero problems. Beautiful birds, adorable primates, and a short walk a few blocks to the beach. Will DEFINITELY be returning!"
