"Hate to give this a high rating for fear of people seeing it and turning it from a nice isolated place to look at the water into something crowded and unpleasant. I guess I'm doing it though. This is really one of the only places you can sit on the island and look out on the water that I'm aware of."

"Dixie Beach is not a beach per set. It is more of some breaks in the mangroves that are good for launching a canoe , kayak , or board. It does have a small , peaceful little park with a few benches . Parking is A/B only , which means you have to be a resident."

"Great little park here for dogs, launching kayaks, sitting on a bench listening to the waves, or fishing! Very clean and well cared for. You do need a parking pass from the Recreation Center to park here, but it is lovely and worth it!"
