"Absolutely the worst group of physicians I have ever experienced. Don’t come here. Don’t send your kids here, they are awful. Always cancel appointments the day of after you wait weeks for your appointment. Sometimes they don’t even notify you that your appointment is cancelled until you go all the way to the office, and then they tell you your appointment doesn’t exist anymore. Everyone who works here is absolutely unorganized and they don’t care about the paitients they care about that money coming in more than anything."

"WARNING!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! I’ve been battling mental health issues for over 20 years. I was seeing the same psychiatrist for 12 years. He’s retiring soon so I was unfortunately referred to AVO. First meeting went great and the staff seemed genuinely interested in helping me so I scheduled a second session with their NP. I was very skeptical and cautious but decided to give it a try. While meeting with the NP, she seemed to have a “game plan,” “did hours worth of research,” and told me “she would do everything she could” to focus on my wellbeing while continuing my treatment with therapy and meds. So I disregarded the reviews and switched doctors. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE SO FOOLED!! It’s embarrassing and I should have known better but I was desperate for care. I’m on some pretty strong meds and called a few times before my next scheduled appointment (4 weeks later) to verify if new meds would interact with my current ones. I left SEVERAL messages and never heard back from my NP to this day! I called numerous times over a 10 day period with ZERO response. The NURSE finally returned my call only to tell me that the NP was not able to treat me after all and referred me to another provider finishing the call with a “good luck” and disconnect. I was in the process of tapering off of some of my medication and my NP assured me she would refill as necessary and to call her when I was getting low. This obviously never happened and I was cut off cold turkey with no further explanation. The NP didn’t even have the guts to tell me herself and had her nurse do her dirty work!! I was in danger of severe and fatal withdrawals and went into panic mode. Luckily, I found another doctor quickly and he was able to fill my meds before that happened. The NP at AVO literally could have KILLED me and not bat an eye. This is extremely infuriating because she told me her own “personal stories” to show “empathy “ which were most likely made up just to take my money. Not to mention she was an ER nurse before transitioning into psychiatric care!! Talk about a lazy piece of trash. I’ve had numerous encounters with different providers almost my entire life and I can say I’ve NEVER had this awful of an experience. I’m still considering a lawsuit for malpractice!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Literally go anywhere else!!"

"I can not express enough if you are in need of help DO NOT go here… They do not care about the well-being of their patient’s. They care about your money.. I had a terrible experience here so I do NOT think anybody below is exaggerating. They need to realize they are a mental health clinic who deals with people who NEED help. They are not just a regular office, yet they dangle patients on strings."

"This office was great 2 years ago, it has since gone downhill. I had to beg for a PRN for panic attacks for 6 months, i was prescribed the wrong medication and went through antidepressant discontinuation syndrome and the nurse has not responded to my voicemail. the receptionist is rude, and they refused to sign paperwork that they can legally fill out and got me fired from a job and lost my health insurance. You guys are lucky I'm not suing for MALPRACTICE"

"I’ve been going here for almost 2 years now I believe. The nurse practitioner I was seeing was awesome and worked with me for a long time finding a medication regimen that helped my mental health problems. Once that nurse practitioner left the establishment it took a turn for the worse. I was put with a random nurse practitioner and the first day I met her she already wanted to talk about changing up my medications. It left a bad taste in my mouth because I didn’t even know this person yet or established a relationship with them. The nurse for Millsap is probably the rudest person I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Millsap messed up my main antidepressant prescription (this is what pushed me to leave AVO) so when I called the nurse to fix it she basically told me I needed to take a urine sample for my antidepressant? Over their flat out mistake? Of course they sent in the right prescription after they realized they messed up on their end. No apology or phone call from them. This place is suppose to help your mental health but all it’s given me recently is more anxiety and stress. I’m in the process of finding a different provider. Seriously save your time and look elsewhere for better service."
