"update 1/30/24: Well the washer finally died, we had Greg out and he immediately diagnosed the dead pump motor but pointed out it wasn't worth repairing as he demonstrated to me the bearings in the tub are shot. He recommended we buy LG which agrees with most of the expert reviews out there so, we ran over to Best Buy and got a good deal on a new LG washer/dryer set. Greg is on time, he's an expert on this stuff and he's honest, plus he only charged a $49 diag fee (I tipped, that's too low). Highly recommend! ============== I found Greg here in the reviews and they are correct. He's a great guy, came the day he promised, went right to work no messing around or chit chat, and though he's not sure, he thought he fixed the problem at least temporarily. He explained the issues and I understand that a real fix given the error codes it's throwing would become a matter of 'throwing $ parts at it' real easily, and at about 10 years old the washer is too old to invest in. And it works now, giving us time to buy a new set at least. Thank you Greg!! And he really undercharges for on site service by a LOT. The guy we had out last year to work on our dryer wasn't here much longer and charged about 3X as much, though that included some (inexpensive) parts. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Greg! (2 months later it's still working and I'm sharing his contact info with people all the time, he's a real find)"
