"I went in today to get a bottle jack and wanted to spend some time looking around to make sure I didn't need anything else so I took my product to the counter so I didn't have to carry it around with me because of slipped disks. Mind you, it's me, a small white girl, with two grown men and a teenage boy in the store. The ONLY people in the store. The owner (I guess?) and the other older employee started following me to the corner of the store and staring intensely and talking about me (to which I didn't realize most of it as I was just trying to browse) and then FINALLY confronted me that he HAD to watch me because he's had a problem with theft lately. I get it. That sucks. But don't make me feel uncomfortable when I'm in the furthest corner of the store from the door. Keep it to yourself like normal people who try to figure out if someone is stealing or kick me out. I'd rather chance being embarrassed letting you embarrass yourself for nothing, than be completely uncomfortable. I almost bought the mace at the check out counter with some poor advertising about why I might need it."
