"All the years now ive shopped here. Im still treated like a criminal. Harassed by the employees. The first time i was here. I was living in my car during covid. The manager singles me out of the crowd and is making snide remarks about “where i been.” She did that often for a while. Having employees follow me in the store. Id notice them inspecting my basket. Then texting each other. For a while that manager locked the bottom floor bathroom because “homeless people used it”. They would shut off self checkout machines when i walked in. I noticed and would walk by and see if they were all on. Then they would crank up the audio up to 90 decibels. I measured it. There would be a cop parked in the lot every time i left the store for a while. Never went inside. Id drive around the block n see if they left. They would... Last month i was checking out and the girl that seemed decent enough walks off after i check out and they sent some guy to spy on me as i was filling my bag to leave. He was bobbing back and forth looking at me. . I always return my baskets. Because often employees are too busy to. And so i take a basket. Return it. The guy said they were out. And i got to grab mine again. The employee quickly runs around the side to see if im stealing... the doors had a stack of baskets... These people are fake. Psychotic. Many have mental health issues. I get it. Its good to provide jobs but you arent mentally fit to be profiling customers and believing yourself a vigilante. They dont treat people like this... only people like me that look down n out. I remember for a while they would make my machine error and walk up and look into my bags and basket. Then ok the machine. While king sooper’s machines have a 30 second timer that regulates the machines. It was consistent for a while. They used to stand guard at the doors after i walked in too or call extra people to self checkout. Ive caught them just leaning on other machines and just staring at me. So id change and they would move to another spot to stare. Still, today, they have the girl come and grab my basket before i can even pay. What if i dont have enough room in my bag for my groceries?! I sometimes use the basket. She decides “no.. i cant return my basket.” She insists. I ask if they take people’s carts?! Nope... So i go and grab it to return it and yes... as i always thought. She makes some remark about me being unpositive and to keep it up! Like shes insinuating something. Implying my personal attitude is the going to get me banned for being a decent person. Im a considerate person... . So yes. These employees think they can profile customers and treat them like criminals. They think they are going to catch people doing something. Cause them problems. Get them in trouble or banned. Im trying to help people understand. Its a food store. You arent upholding the righteousness of any god or religion by pretending you are getting someone in trouble. Or pressuring people or acting like you can intimidate customers. Its sick.. They need to change their mindset and realize even if a customer steals something, its not us vs you or you vs them. There is a reason we have insurance that compensates the money. Cause colorado is a parasitically fiscal place. I live here cause i look around. I drive the roads. I sit on the sidewalk and play music for people and dont ask for tips. I paint and im chaotic. But thats how artists are and i dont like being harassed or bullied. ."

"worst customer service experience, I have never seen anyone go out of there way not to assist a customer. the lady at customer services is the rudest and quite possibly the laziest person I have ever encountered. Context: I waited at the front for 10 minutes before any one call this lady at the front desk. then this lady slowly walked up as though I inconvenienced her. I ask for nicotine gum she said we don't have it. "" yeah you do". I said. she replied "oh that is right it in the back by the pharmacy" I said, "exactly however its locked away because people have been stealing it or at least that is what I was told and I need some assistance in getting to it". She said "NO you are just going to have to wait till the pharmacy opens". I asked "there is no one at this store that has a key"? she continued with attitude "no I cant help you" That's fine it is clear that Safeway does not want my business and this isn't the first time I have encountered rude employees at this location. For a company that isn't doing well financially you would think they would want to keep as many customers as possible. Managers please don't offer me anything I won't be shopping at your store or any other Safeway location in the future. If I can give you some advice instead, You need to treat your staff better and they will in turn treat your customers better. Or just shut down your business because that is where you are headed anyways Especially if you keep treating your staff the way you do. To the employees if you are that miserable at your job, do us all a favor and quit. I know how Safeway treats their employees its not good, but because the union gives you an illusion of job security you stay. Then you become a miserable person. To people who live in the area, I don't recommend shopping at any Safeway it is the worst corporation that ever existed. In fact, there is a thriving King Soopers about a Quarter mile up the road. They have better customer service and they actually have the products in stock and accessible to the customer."

"I entered the wrong phone number and the digital coupons didn’t show up- my mistake, but the store manager worked the issue with me until we got figured out. It was not an easy process- a corporate issue- but she hung in there! Staff here are always friendly and helpful."

"Newer building with a bit more space than average Safeway in Denver area. Offering more selection of custom meal options than other Safeway or Kingsoopers in metro area. More outdoor seating area also. Close to the South Table mountain park trails. Not far from the river trail also."
