Bell Ken-Caryl Apartments

"I have lived here for over a year. While the location is convenient and nice for work and shopping, the apartment complex has gone downhill. There continues to be safety concerns and issues in the neighborhood as well as with new residents. I have had packages stolen right off my doorstep in the middle of the day within a 3-hour timeframe from coming home. There are no security cameras anywhere to capture activity and footage, which is even more concerning with 2 different hotels next door. I have reached out to the leasing department, and they simply told me to have my packages delivered to their office, which is on the other side of the complex with limited office hours, and I have had multiple foot injuries so it's inconvenient. It's disappointing that they have allowed residents with a criminal history to move in within the last few months and just break and steal items with no remorse. I guess when they are making over $2,000 a month off each resident for rent, it makes sense not to do anything because they are still collecting their money so...."

"Great place with very supportive staff… everyone was helpful and responsive. The complex was clean and well maintained. Very safe and a great location with added amenities being part of the Ken Caryl HOA. Walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. Easy hiking and biking beyond the hogback. "This complex is nice, quiet location that’s well maintained. That’s the nicest recommendation that I can give. But if you’re considering living here, I have to warn you that there is no soundproofing between the floors. So, for your sanity, I can only recommend that you choose the upper lever units. When our lease was up for renewal, we were charged a hefty increase. We asked management that they reconsider the increase and they did lower it, but it’s still higher than an exact floor plan that’s coming up available in a month. Why would you increase an existing tenant’s rental amount higher than an incoming tenant’s rent? Bad business practice. Also there’s a $48 monthly HOA fee added to rent. Ouch! And if you want covered parking, expect to pay an additional $70, if a spot is available. Garages are three times as much."

"We have lived here for almost a year and could not be happier! I have never met such dedicated staff as they have here. It’s rare I have a maintenance issue (I think I’ve only had 2), however they respond very quickly. I have watched our previous maintenance manger come in on a holiday to make sure that people had clear access to the garbage bins after a big snow. Our current maintenance manager recently went above and beyond the call of duty by crawling in a storm drain to retrieve a cell phone for me. This was in no way a requirement of her job and she did it anyway. When I asked why (because I have to be honest I don’t think I could crawl in a storm drain) she stated she “knows what it’s like to lose a phone and it have important pictures or messages on it that can never be replaced”. If she had not just climbed out of a storm drain I would have hugged her!! I am truly so happy to call this place home!! The staff here feels more like family, which is wonderful when you’ve moved so far from home! Also the views from our windows are amazing!!"
