Hy-Vee Grocery Store

"Produce is horrible quality. Bell peppers literally sit on the floor in the box they were shipped in. Pricechopper just down the street has much better looking fruits and vegetables. Self checkout machines are something from 20 years ago and lock up constantly. Prices are marked up nearly 50% versus hen house / walmart / pricechopper which are all in the area. I see no reason to go to this store."

"After a long day of travel, we thought we would grab some food from the buffet inside as a treat (which we have done many times). The food is AWFUL. It was just before 5pm and the Chinese had clearly been sitting out for quite some time. The fried rice tastes burned. The beef and broccoli is wilted and flavorless. The General's Chicken is not good either. So disappointing. I'm not sure what happened."

"This is the greatest grocery store I've ever been in. They have everything and they're the most helpful employees I've ever encountered. The sales that they have are phenomenal there's even some sales that are not advertised on items you wouldn't think they had. The grocery stores divided perfectly into sections of understanding and plain since. Hats off to a great company what a great company to have stock in or options for stocks cuz I don't see them going anywhere."

"All I needed was to order cupcakes for a party. The bakery was open until 7 but no one was working the counter even though it was only 6:15. I finally stopped 2 other employees who said they could not help me (the form was literally sitting on the counter) and I was told to go to customer service at the front of the store. The manager working customer service said "yeah, the bakery person left and I can't help you because I don't even know where the forms are. " After I told him they were on the counter he still refused to help me. So much for "helpful smiles in every isle". It's worth it to drive the extra 1.5 miles to find a Price Chopper."

"The employees here are always so friendly and helpful. I like the layout of this location. Everything is easy to find unlike some of the other Hy-Vee locations. The meat from the meat counter is always fresh. Love getting deli meat from here because it’s always fresh and delicious! Karen the customer service manager is the nicest person. I prefer coming here for my stamps and money orders because of her. The floral department is outstanding as well. All the flowers are so pretty and fresh plus they last awhile. I highly recommend this location."
